Slow paid. Now payment pending on Venmo. Scammed?

I’m not too Venmo savvy so looking for help.
I’ve been blown off by someone who owes me money. He was adamant about settling up on venmo today. The money went through, but when I transferred to bank it says pending.
It is usually instant. Is there any type of scam that could be going on or once the Venmo payment comes through am I good?
