Besides, its not all about the money-its a theft.Yes,a theft in which the victim gave his money with a promise to be staked and that the money would be returned in a month, but still-its super unfair.Hope this works out well, though.
What do you want anyone to tell you? You sent $70 to a small time scammer who clearly has no intention of paying back. You don't have any info about him and the monetary value is far too small to make it worthwhile pursuing in the courts even if you did somehow track him down.
Also...while the guy is obviously a scammer, you've got to take a large portion of the blame here. Everyone has a responsibility to use common sense to protect themselves from obvious scams like this and if they don't they share the blame IMO. It's like sending money to a Nigerian scam email promising you 5 million USD if only you can send the processing fee of $200 first. Anyone that's so stupid to be fooled by a request like that gets little sympathy from me and is rapidly approaching the point he deserves to get rolled for being ridiculously nieve.
Be glad it only cost you $70 this time and learn to apply a bit of critical thought before sending strangers money in the future.
