surprised i couldn't find any postings about this guy because he is apparently a habitual scammer. i was looking for ACR on twitter and he said he had it. stupidly i sent him a quick 1k on paypal without looking up his name, a few people had called him out on twitter for being a crook (and he might have several twitter handles and ACR names to keep the scamming). he does however use his own name on paypal lol.

a simple search for "Brian Voytek poker" would have brought me to this poker pro's twitter who called him out previously

https://twitter.com/timreillypoker/s...006593?lang=en

anyway, i sent him the $ and it took me about 2 minutes before i knew i screwed up but waited 40 minutes before putting up screenshots of this transaction on twitter and a few people told me he was a scammer

his twitter handle (presently) is https://twitter.com/HeyInternetLOOK

thought i would give everyone a heads up

We don't allow Paypal in our trading thread because it can be reversed. In this case, where you're the one who was scammed, and sent via Paypal, can you not take advantage of this and get your money back?

i assume op sent $$ as a gift which makes sense if you know the other party well enough and want to avoid fees. if thats the case however and op did indeed sent his 1k as a gift you dont have the option to reverse it i think.

was just posting about him on another site, and found this forum. He got me before as well. My brother works in law enforcement and has been helping me. Been traced to NV. Sent some more info. Sorry this happened to you but also glad others are spreading the word.

Scumbag is back on twitter trying to scam. If he indeed did vote he will be caught soon. Spoke to couple of his family members who gave all his info and girlfriends. Had pissed off a lot of people. Only a matter of time. Avoid this bum. And will not stop until he is prosecuted.

yeah, i think the word would get more widely spread if this was posted on NVG. this is not a staking dispute, this is theft

NVG isn't a theft forum, and this isn't a staking dispute forum.

He’s reading this forum. Been exposed on Twitter. He’s back into hiding after a couple of us called him out about his go fund me BS. But linked us right to all his personal info. But he’s innocent right?

have you spoken with paypal to verify this?
they may have changed their policy recently, but I was sent money via friends and family few years back and the scammer was able to reverse the transfer, and get the money back, despite the fact I had indisputable evidence that he owed me the money, and intended to send it to me.

so I would suggest you speak to paypal if you haven't already, because unless they have changed their policy you may very well be able to recover the funds.

the way that scammers reverse friends and family is by alleging fraud or doing a chargeback.

ya I'm not sure how it works as I've never attempted to reverse a payment, but it seems like he does have grounds to claim fraud, no?

no, the paypal scammer would say that someone hacked their account and initiated the transfer. that's how they get it reversed, or through chargeback, afaik.

I mean, by all means OP should contact PayPal and try to get the transaction reversed. Total freeroll. But I'm just not optimistic about his chances.
