Matthew Cooper

"Payment of debt in progress, and near completion

There are links at the bottom to void anyone of any skepticism regarding what's going on here.

The first link at the bottom shows that username Wesrwood is who I say he is Matthew Cooper, poker player from Connecticut. Above are pictures of him - so if you come across him irl (Foxwoods probably) you know to avoid whatever BS he's up to at the moment.

The second link at the bottom is a thread Wesrwood (Matthew Cooper) had been participating in since around the start of '17's baseball season. Betting 200-300 a game, mostly on huge favorites and winning at a reasonable rate. On the page linked (easier to read if you're on 100 posts per page and just ctrl+f: wesrwood): Wes goes from betting 200-300 per game to up to 3000 on a Thursday night football game: after losing a couple thousand to the thread earlier in the week.

He basically pushes the game on a missed XP and then vanishes. As the game was his saving grace to get 4K out of debt.

After the thread did numbers it turned out Wes was down over $4000 to the thread spanning debts to 6-7 different people. He self-banned and tried to run away from his debt. After contacting him via text he refused to pay claiming he was more or less 'angled' by being asked to escrow for a bet so large (important note- he didn't escrow, and his bet stood regardless- see the thread), we told him that complaint held no merit and to pay up. He then told us that he had tilted away more than $10,000 playing blackjack and was deadbroke. In other words he tried to freeroll us with money he didn't have, and then refused to pay upon losing.

It is now over three months later, and after prying and prodding with a man who acts more or less like a child (see the text screenshots below) we have gotten just $500 of the debt he's owed to us.

The texts, coupled with the thread posts and the vouching of what I'm sure would be 20+ members from the MSNL sports discussion thread should be more than enough to assure you that this is indeed a person to stay away from. Whether we get what we're owed or not- it should just be fair warning that Matthew Cooper is a scammer.

The third link is one we've just recently found where he apparently scammed members on another forum years back. As seems to be necessary a more formal website with more information of this man's scamming is being assembled- but we just wanted to get it out there now, at least to the 2p2 community, to please steer clear of this guy

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...event-1216470/ (proof of name)

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/5.../index448.html (original origin of scamming)

https://gyazo.com/10e2cab9f5633586c61454d0133ba5b0 (link I found from years back of Wes scamming others)

TEXTS:
https://ibb.co/hPwK3b (classic slow-paying "I don't have it bs)
https://ibb.co/jpa1Gw (threatening to sue us for trying to get paid)
https://ibb.co/dLfuw6 (threatening to "break my jaw" if his info is posted)

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/5.../index508.html (latest: I'm not paying f**k you)

All of this information is confirmed truthful. Matthew Cooper owes the following thread members as of this date (after giving him a $1200 grace on the debt, bringing the entire balance down from ~$4200 to ~$3k):

Jabawokky $1330
AcesFull $1137
LuckyBacon / AngerPush / Sports87 $500

I'm sure there is additional debt with others, most notably driverseati, which would increase this liability to members of 2p2.

All of this is most definitely true. And the way wes has acted and handled him self since is embarrassing, Matt Cooper, this could of all been avoided if you only made the slightest attempt to pay what you owe.

Wes owes me $180

I am absolving his debt so he doesn't owe me anymore as a sign of good faith that he will pay back his other creditors

Wes and I have set up a payment plan for this debt. Will revert in this thread to update things going smoothly upon receiving payments.

Anybody who has any financial dealings with wesrwood should read these 2 threads first:

Here he went public that the money was missing from a pool he was escrowing back in 2013-14 season but buried it in a thread(Post #26) was paid fast the year before. It was unbelievably effective as nobody caught on even though it was right there.

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...agues-1281280/

& my favorite where he started another playoff pool where he was the escrow when he knew the money from the first was gone & he hadn't told anybody:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...-list-1401937/

He & a bunch of others defending him didn't seem to have any problem with this which boggles the ****ing mind & was never explained how he did it without a Paypal account.

Does anybody know if he's still using his mom's Paypal account to make transactions to this day? BTW, this is not some nefarious reveal as he admitted this in another thread back in 2016.

What's the latest on this?

Is he making payments like what was indicated above?

Yes he is making payments as scheduled on a bi-weekly basis. We've been told to expect some bigger lump sum payments when possible- that hasn't happened yet- but he is making his regularly scheduled payments and paying down the debt.

Wes finished making payments as we agreed, and is clear of the debt with the group. I don’t know if he has outstanding debts with others in the 2p2 sports betting thread, but he cooperated with me, Jaba, Sports87, and AngerPush.

I've PMed the mod to ask that the thread be removed.
