Gabe has been out of contact for month now and has been living in Pattaya, Thailand with quite a heavy party lifestyle. After staking him for over 2 years, We've confirmed through mutliple mutual contacts that he decided to end our staking deal and steal all of our money left in his accounts, as well as not pay back any makeup while he grinds on his own now.

Kristaps who has been mentioned in this thread before seems to have officially cut ties with the poker community after attempting to scam another player in the skype swap chats for $9,000. This money has been returned to the victim, and he also stole from us $9,464.43 in both cash in his accounts and makeup.

We don't expect to be paid back as he cut off all communication as well as deleted his discord and facebook. Just a warning if he does pop up in the community again to not do any dealings with this person.

guys like this guy interest me a lot, ive played a bunch against him and remember he was one of those 30k games 30k profit guys over like 5-6 years and just wonder how this is worth it for him and how hes making enough money to survive. you gotta think their willpower just gives at a certain point and he just reached that point. my guess is he quit and hes taking what he can. any update on this ?

This could be absolutely true. We were having what we believe was a single person, pretending to own Romanian accounts, and then applying to us and because they could not receive p2p on poker sites being from Romania, they would need money sent on Neteller/Skrill.

Most of our staking was on Stars back then and we would send p2p and never thought to verify ownership of an account, since were sending directly to the player. With Romanians we were scammed several times as the dots weren't connected fast enough for us to figure out what was going on.

My advice for everyone is simply ask for a playing history audit showing the person applying owns the account. They can record a video of themselves playing. You simply want proof the person you are speaking with is 100% the owner of the account that you want to stake them on.

This is incredibly obvious but it was a blind spot we had years ago and perhaps others have it now.

We have reached out to Alex multiple times since this happened and have received no response. His accounts on Sharkscope remain blocked.

At this point he has 100% stolen the money in accounts and his $30k in makeup is unrecoverable.

We had an issue with him and warned others as it was a serious issue that other backers should know about. We then worked it out and decided to try again. 2p2 has a policy of not removing posts, so at that point it needed to remain up.

On at least 20 different occasions we found Thiago playing incorrect games (totaling 300+ games), with us informing him this is not acceptable each time. We tried everything. We moved him down in stakes, added a penalty for each time this happened, offering him loans in exchange for cleaning this up.

The entire time he has said our staking sheet is confusing and he mis-registers, but he recently said he intentionally played a game he knew was off-stake because he thought it was high value.

With him receiving loans, intentionally playing off-stake games, and effectively telling us he will continue to do this and "[we] can just add it 3x to makeup", we have decided to part ways.

Thiago owes us $11,049.30 in makeup he has made unrecoverable with his unwillingness to play the games we agreed on.
