If the answer to both questions is no than it seems a rather unjustified mention here. 'Just a heads up' about someone's behavior if he's done no wrong doesn't belong here. If anything, it seems like a rather stand up guy to return the money when he doesn't want to have anymore contact with you.
Disagree, it for sure belongs here. Sure what he did isn't the worst thing ever if he didn't steal anything and is quitting poker. But this obviously should be communicated in a professional/courteous way. You can't just send back your current balance and run off never saying a word again. If certain aspects of the reason are personal he doesn't have to share every detail, but you obv have to sit down with your backers, explain that you are in fact leaving and quitting poker, and go over the accounting together so that your backers know you aren't actually leaving with some of their money.

Yes, there is money owing ... and +1 to what Tyman said .

Genaro had his Stars account closed. He's been trying to resolve this for over a month now. Something about multiple IP's is all we know.

It has been 34 days and while this process takes place we asked that Genaro send us his funds from other sites ($666.12). He has not sent this. We've messaged him via WhatsApp and he has read multiple messages and chosen not to respond nor send funds.

We cannot back someone with a closed Stars account that will not send us our own money or communicate with us.

Genaro owes us $3508.79

He recently had a score and this is our part of the chop, makeup, and the starting bankroll. He should have all of these funds.
really had not taken time to claim this post because I did not know it existed, at the time that happened to me about the stars, you knew it because you showed them with tests and copies of emails received by the stars, apart from that our contract had already expired and I was not in make up, apart from that you as a team did not support me properly as it should. apart from all the funds at that time they were all in the stars, since with the change between players had been made and possessed in the site of the stars. in a few words, I gave them enough profits for the little support received, and at the time or in the last month of my games you did not renew my contract ..

Everth was both a player and manager for us in December 2018 when we needed to remove his role as manager. Everth had berated a BSOP dealer so badly that she felt the need to reach out to us and explain what happened.

Recently we noticed some discrepancies between our financial results with Everth and Sharkscope. We asked him to send us a playing history audit. Everth said there was no need to send because he wanted to quit and set up a repayment plan. We explained this was possible to discuss but we first wanted to look at an audit. He refused, abruptly left our chats, blocked our main Latina manager on WhatsApp, and has not sent us the cash he held in accounts.

Everth owes us $6550.

We tried to schedule a call with Joao to discuss him missing our volume milestones and he said a call is not necessary and that he will not be able to hit them with his new job he's working.

We asked what he can do volume wise and what his plan is. He said he must leave the team and cannot repay anything.

We asked if he will continue to play online poker to which he has not responded. He's been playing games that are not allowed within our agreement. We do not allow off-stake games.

If Joao was quitting poker entirely we would have said okay, but he's not replying to us and is continuing to play with his own funds. We believe he should continue to play for us or repay makeup if he wishes to end our agreement and play for himself.

We started working with David Miko in September, 2017 when we gave David Miko another chance after this previous negative feedback https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/s...postcount=4223 .

His volume fell to almost 0 from January of 2019 through today because he was "moving". We asked David Miko for audits and to send back the money he's holding multiple times in the last couple of months as it's become clear he's not playing. David Miko has been ignoring our efforts to communicate with him and it seems clear that he's stolen the money he had.

David Miko aka Okim23 owes us $5,300.

Daniel played off-stake games and was missing volume and study we agreed on. We decided to part ways but after he strongly asked us to reconsider we gave him another chance.

Fast forward a couple months and Dan informed us he was moving to another city and could not fulfill our contract. We agreed that he would have six months to get things together and repay makeup. This was in December 2018.

It has been over six months and Daniel is not responding to our communication attempts. He played online poker as recently as May 28th and has not repaid anything.

We recently decided to part ways with Alex.

In August 2018 he admitted playing slots on Party with our funds and lost $322.

Alex played games with our funds that we did not agree on repeatedly.

Eventually after missing our volume and study milestones enough times and given his history with us, we decided it was time to part ways.

We asked Alex to send the cash he held in accounts that was ours and set up a repayment plan for makeup. He sent some cash back, but not all and says he needs this to keep playing and will not return it.

Had missed volume requirements for a few months in 2018, admitted to struggling to finding motivation to grind while in MU, and then went completely MIA in December. Haven't heard from him since, and I thought I posted negative feedback in this thread but apparently I didn't. Recently noticed he was back grinding on Stars and reset his stats.

Owes $12,000.

Jean Gaspard scammed me

Told me he’d back me for live 5/10 NL

Said he would manage all my money for poker

Never put me in a game. Would not give me back my money

I sued him in Henderson Small Claims Civil Court in April 2019 & he paid the judgment in full before the end of the month

After several months of missing this he said he would 100% repay starting at the end of July.

We have not received anything and in just the past couple months Filipe has put $1,371 into online tournament buy-ins.

Filipe owes us $1915.

We started working with Daniel Ganchev Kyosev on August 2nd. We offered him backing for $100NL. On August 3rd Daniel Kyosev lost all the funds in his account playing $200NL. When we spoke to Daniel Kyosev, he said that he thought "shot taking" was allowed (it was pretty clear that it wasn't).

We gave him another opportunity to follow his limits. On August 7th he joined the $200NL games again and likely lost the entire balance on his account. He has refused to reply to messages and ignored all attempts at communication.

Daniel Ganchev Kyosev likely has a gambling problem and owes us $5.6k.

Awhile back this player was out of contact for quite some time and then admitted to cashing out some stake funds. He was told that once he repaid the funds we could continue the stake since we had previously had a lucrative and overall decent stake and he was perfectly fine with that at the time. He later contacted me when he didn't get some money he was expecting to get and said he would just make it on his own and pay back everything which was part of the contract anyway but I was just giving him the option to pay back the money he took and then continue the stake. He had a score for over 35k in the Sunday Million and I was able to get in touch with him on the phone in which his attitude changed quite a bit. He said he would get on skype when he had time to work the situation out and claimed him owing money in taxes as part of the reason he didn't want to send right away.

He is no longer answering his phone, has not sent me a single skype message since March and recently would not even respond when I sent him multiple messages when we were playing hands against each other online. He has not sent any money since the situation occurred. At this point I have no reason to believe he has intentions to make things right.
Update regarding this player. He recently cashed for over $150,000 USD in small tournaments where it is likely he had a large portion of himself and still has yet to contact me to make things right.

We started working with Guilherme Araujo Bandeira da Costa in February of 2017. We started running into problems in October of 2018, Guicosta94 stopped attending coaching sessions. Then he disappeared for 3 months later sending us this message:

Quote:
Last two months was girlfriend and family vacations here in Brazil so it was the only time they was avaliable all the time, and they was missing me. Now I’m ready to again to be committed 100% of time with my poker life.
Starting in April he started playing games outside his limits and stopped sending in the required reports.

In May it appears that he misreported his winnings. We compared sharkscope to his stated results and it appeared that he understated winnings by $2k+ on Party on May 12th. When we asked him to send in screenshots for all the sites he was playing on, he did immediately, except for Party May withdrawals screenshot which we received 6+ hours later and we think might have been photoshopped.

We tried to do a screenshare session to examine his database and Party transaction history to resolve our suspicions. The session ended because Guicosta94 claimed his main computer was broken. We were unable to examine his PT4 database or access his hand histories. He was using an old notebook which did not have Party installed on it, he claimed the party client would not install because the screenshare session must have been using all the bandwidth.

We've asked Guilherme Araujo Bandeira da Costa to redo the screenshare, he has not complied and is ignoring our messages again. We had also requested that he send in all remaining funds, and he has ignored that as well.

Guilherme Araujo Bandeira da Costa owes us $32,327.

Kanishka joined us in February 2014. Our contract was for a minimum 200 online games per month.

Kanishka routinely missed our minimal requirement of 200 online games because he was playing live poker for himself. He would often play 0-5 online games in a month. After many months of giving warnings that this could not continue, we both agreed to part ways with Kanishka repaying $200/mo until the accumulated $12.6k makeup was repaid. This was in February 2017.

Kanishka was great with following this new agreement until the end of 2017 when he started to be late with payments.

In January 2018 he made a payment for December and 75% of January.

He missed February, March, and April and made a $700 payment in May 2018.

He missed June and made a $575 payment in July 2018.

This is the last payment we received. It is now February 2019. It has been over six months and at this point we feel the need to post.

Kanishka continues to play live poker for himself, is extremely poor with communication, and has not repaid anything in over six months. He still owes us $9,400.
After not receiving anything from Kanishka for 1 year, he messaged saying he would send $5k to settle the debt. We accepted that offer.

Kanishka sent $4,257 roughly one week ago. I will post again when we have received the remaining $743.

I mean damn, wouldn't it be a perfect world for horses if they could agree to a staking agreement which clearly states what is expected/required from the backer funding all of their games, lose a bunch of their backer's money, break rules from the staking agreement they agreed to (as kanishka27 in above post did) and then leave the stake home free?

If that was the case, any player would be insane to not get staked and the backing industry (already on a massive downtrend in recent years and one where horses print money overall while most stables end up busto eventually) would die a pretty quick death.

Looking at many of the horses these stables take in, I can't believe so many of these horses actually get stables to cover all their tournament buyins.

We staked Diego from August 2016 until July 2017. We had issues with him following milestones with study and volume and mutually agreed to part ways with him repaying makeup via a repayment plan.

After several months of doing that, Diego asked us to consider staking him again. We agreed but expressed the importance of an improvement from our first arrangement with him hitting milestones.

Five months into our second agreement, Diego was again continually missing our milestones and we mutually agreed to part ways--again with a repayment plan.

From June 2018 until May 2019 he made these payments mostly without issue.

Diego told us recently he cannot continue repaying and asked us to consider staking him a third time. We declined.

The last payment received was in May 2019 and we are still owed $5,130.41.
