You both seem to handle things badly. He can drop you whenever he wants though unless your contract says otherwise. You owe him the rakeback if it was included in the deal. You don't get to just keep it. Unless you can post a contract that says otherwise, send him back the rakeback and then in the future both of you should work on being less emotional so you don't handle things so poorly.

We recently had to cut Dave in MU for a few dif reasons. He has stolen money (degen'd it off) many times. I dont have the exact totals (audits/whatever), but its in the mid 5 figures. it wasnt all stolen at one time as well. It has happened over the life of the stake.

At some point I will be making a dedicated thread to all of our problems/concerns with Dave, but just wanted to get the word out there.

He is without a doubt the worst horse I have ever been involved with. I can not stress it enough that no matter how talented you may think he is, no matter how much he says he has changed (heard this 10+ times), he will some day steal from you.

there is much truth to what zima says, but zima puts me in the worst possible light. i have never stollen from my backers into my bank account or spent it. i have degened and played cash and lost their money when i shoudlent have many times. the first many times it was ok because i won, so they just reverse freerolled me and that was that. this time i lost. win or lose, playing cash games you arent cleared to play is effectively freerolling your backers, very low integrity, and im ashamed of it. i palyed for zima and elio for 3 or 4 years and won them lots of money for the first 2.5 of these with minimal problems. the problems did come from me not keeping my stoploss in cash. i have had degen problems, lost 80 percent of my money including losing 80k and 75k in one day when i was worth under 100k (of my own money). zima knew this and took the good with the bad. so basically, yes i deserve to be shamed and anyone who doesent know me i dont expect them to ever trust me. but many poker players know me and know that i am a generally very honest and trustworthy guy. this is the first time i have lost someone elses money in my life. that being said, what i did is clearly wrong and will negatively affect me, i assume, for the rest of my life. for zima to say no matter what he says he will steal from you is ****ing ridiculous. luckily, i know that everyone takes what zima says with a grain of salt, since he is a certifiable phyco with mental problems (i lived with him for a year so i know). for his reason, everyone i ever know who ever has or does play for zima hates him, and all the pepole that have stollen from him have felt justified, in a sense, because they hate him so much. this dosent make their, or my, actions right; it is just my way of recommending that no one ever play for zima. if you do business with him, he will be strong but fair, but if you play for him he will make your life miserable. anyway this thread is about me, i accept the consequences of my actions. i owe elio lots of money, im not sure how much. i owe zima almost nothing because he barely puts any money into the operation. he only has 5 percent of the zima elio stable, if that. i also owe stevie44 my other staker an appology which i will give privately soon. i have hurt mostly myself, and i will accept the consequences. weather i will still pursue to make money in poker or i will try to find someone else, i will not shurk my debt.

There are some truths and some lies in what dave has written above, but this thread really isnt the place to go over his post and try and pick it a part.

Josh signed up for a stake with us on January 6th to play NL50. We loaded him up with $500 on Carbon to start and after the first day he alerted us that he had lost all of the funds on a bad run of cards. We researched things further as he was tagged to our affiliate and learned that he had lost $349 in the casino on Carbon. We sent him an email and fairly quickly he replied admitting to the mistake.

He has told us that he has full intention on paying it back but needs to find a job. I would definitely advise against anyone staking him given this situation. I've told Josh that I'll update this post when we are repaid.

This player started with us back in February of 2014. He was being staked for $30-60 hyper-turbo HUSNGs.

After avoiding almost all coaching help we give our players despite our regular pushing and him needing reloads, he emailed us after a few months and said:

"i can t do this anymore...i had it... i quit poker for good...i am so stressed out it interfeares with my job and evem my family told me i should stop...
i m sorry i whished this would have turned out a different way but i just can t play one hand of poker anymore
i sent you the picture so that you know i did not take any money
good luck in poker and in life"

He sent back the $1,000 that was in his account while still leaving us with $3,500 worth of makeup. He also had immediately removed us as a skype contact and refused to respond to any of our emails.

We continue to track players that quit in makeup and saw that he started playing again in Oct. We emailed him to try and sort out having him come back to play to repay the makeup he had left. Although he agreed to, he never really started grinding. Shortly after this, Pokerstars increased their rake on hyper-turbo HUSNGs and Eugen emailed us this in response to that increase;

"buddy if you ever see me playing on that ****ing thief site i will give u every money i have"

We continued to track him and saw he started playing again. We contacted him on Skype and he basically told us that we shouldn't bother staking him because he would just lose our money. We decided to cut ties there.

We also later found out that during some of the time he was backed for us he also was backed by another staking group. As we found this out rather late, we never brought it up to him.

He has now blocked his results on Sharkscope.


I wanted to post this in case he decides he wants to look for a new staking arrangement in the future. He is an unreliable stakee and should not be staked again.
