The other guy (Jakub Smolen), according to all poker statistic websites, lost only about 82$ of 600$ which were given to him as backing money, but states that he’s lost everything. During our investigation, at least 162$ of no-purpose spending was revealed (many unapproved transactions between the two guys, and also a small cashout of backing money to buy some meal, as Jakub told us).
He wasn’t able to produce a reasonable report on played tourneys in google docs, as we agreed before starting our cooperation. So, we have to use statistic websites, and according to the data, Jakub’s amount of scammed money is 518$.

His birthday is tomorrow. Maybe if you send him a birthday card in the mail he will respond lol

Every time I read this thread it makes me sad. Had bought Nathan Dillon's shares a few times with no issues and we had a few mutual friends in the poker community although I didn't know him irl. Makes me sad that he ended up stealing from his backers.

Been backing Matthias for a few months, he's run up 15k in makeup, which isn't really the issue. But while railing him today, he was in 10+ tournaments, when I refreshed a couple minutes later, he had busted all but 1 and was sitting out in that one. When I confronted him about it he answered me an hour later and told me that he had intentionally busted from all the tournaments because he was tilted. Also told me "been tilting a lot lately,... its not the first time,..at least i can be honest about it,.. as you or the team dont deserve that".

Posting up this negative feedback as I view this as a form of theft and wouldn't want any other backer to take him on if he should apply in the future.

I admit to the tilt issues,. i have been running bad, and as result playing bad, and even worse, today the last day i played i've tilted the last MTT's i was in allin, i coulnd't handle it anymore, i felt like breaking something, tilt had gotton the upperhand with me. I fully admit, to tilting these MTT's all in and take my responsibility for that. What i do have to say is that i NEVER have taken any $ from Matt, sended all screenshots of history when asked, and have transfered all remaining funds, after the decision was made to drop me.

So to conclude, yeah no other backer should take me, as i do have tilt issue's, but i am definitely no thief. I am sure i am not the only one who ever tilted an MTT away, yet while i was honest to say i did that today, i got the hard treatment.

Anyways just wanted to note here i NEVER took any $ at any point from Matt. And while i do feel bad for getting the treatment of a thief, which is incorrect, i still do apologize for tilting with other peoples money, as that is incorrect too.

Even though there's a big difference to you whether you stole the funds or intentionally lit them on fire, there's no difference to your backer. If i lend you a tennis racket, I dont care if you sell it for money or smash it after a bad point. You owe me money for it.

If you'd just played tilted and below your A game thatd be one thing, but from the sounds of it you just shoved atc on all your tables then sat out the one you had left. IMO you owe 100% of what you busted in those tourneys, 100% if backer can prove you did similar in other tourneys, and at least a % of the makeup you were in since your backer cant be expected to continue to give you funds.




All these people saying not to post IDs of scammers are just lol. If you dont want to risk your identity getting stolen, dont scam. The risk of a scammer getting scammed is worth it to protect the community imo. If a backer maliciously posts IDs without doing proper legwork to give horse a chance to make right, then i think they should face consequences and risk MP approval. But otherwise posting IDs is both a good tool in getting paid back and a good tool to prevent scammers from perpetrating future scams.

Used staking funds to cover own debts, then tried spinning it up in games he wasn't supposed to play and by playing blackjack. Gave him a fair second chance but he went dark after a rather successful few weeks where he did recover a significant amount of makeup. Blew his second chance, owes ~8k in gambling debt and 12k in makeup. On top of that he owes ~15k GBP to his immediate environment. Very likeable guy and probably means well but clearly a gambling addict, stay away!
