All went well, got speaking on AIM. Shipped him $250 to play $2/180s on stars as a testing agreement to gain trust, talk through hands etc. Anyway he found more adventurous ways to spend my money. Emailed him several times with no reply. Facebooked him. He has since deleted me from his FB after various excuses / promises.

Offered his EU Wow account for sale on this board (and an xbox360 in another thread), chatted in MSN, transferred $50 to him in FTP, he made what I assume was an act of transferring the WoW account then went offline and hasn't answered MSN or emails since. I saw him playing on FTP 10 mins after going offline so he was obviously spending my dollars.

I staked this player for nl200. He started losing about 2k when I one day saw him play nl400 and nl600, probably having the whole roll on the tables. I don't know where the original 2k were lost. Fwiw I think he won like 300 back, playing with the whole roll so he's down about 1.5k EUR total (roughly 2k USD).

I tried to contact him after I saw him doing that but he didn't write back. I obv feel he owes me money.

The player is currently being staked at FTP by Andrew Boccia, I already sent him a PM. I know the player through pokurz (2+2 nick) who I also stake. He vouched for him and now feels very sorry that this happened, he thought qpac was very trustworthy.

This is all true and I back Pleex 100% on this. I met qpac09/joe_bong because we were both being staked by llama88 recently in the past. From my experience with him, he seemed like a stand up guy. We talked about poker frequently on MSN, He asked if i could get him a stake with Pleex because he knew I was doing good on the site. I obliged because I thought he seemed trustworthy.

He was originally staked for 200nl on the site, but pleex wanted him to get used to the site and play 100nl for a couple days or a week, not really sure. The very next day after getting a stake I saw him playing 200nl, and i thought it was a little odd. I told Pleex that I didn't like it and it wasn't a good sign, Pleex thought it was just a misunderstanding and qpac09 figured he could just play 200nl when he was okay with the site itself and used to playing on it. After getting a stake with pleex, a couple days later qpac09 also gets a stake on fulltilt for 200nl with Andrew Boccia under the name joe_bong. It really wasn't a big deal, as he could probably handle to stakes if he commits himself. No big deal there, a couple weeks go buy and qpac09 is down about 2k euro on the stake. I log in at about midnight EST time, and find him playing two tables of 400nl, and one table of 600nl. I know he was not allowed to play those limits because he was down money overall. SO I immediately took screen shots of him playing the limits, and sent them to pleex the next day. In which he changed qpac09's password on the site immediately. This is a site that does not have Hand history or cash game trackers. So i think qpac09 just thought he could get away with it. I think the fact that it has almost been a week since this happened and he has not made an effort to contact pleex at all, screams even more of his guilt in this matter. He definitely owes pleex the money lost in this agreement. And I would warn any future backer, do not stake this guy. If we wouldn't have caught him when we did, he could have lost the entire bankroll playing above his head. He is not worthy of this community and playing with somebody else's money. And I hope his current backer takes this into consideration.

while it may or may not be rare for people to seek multiple backers over multiple sites concurrently- failure to disclose that fact to the backers seems pretty shady if that happened.

I was staked by Pleex for 200NL. The first week of the stake we profit split around $450 each. I then continued the stake by playing a mix of 200NL and 100NL games and ended up losing around 2k over 2-3 weeks. Because of the fishy games on this site, I used bad judgement and ended up jumping into a couple 400NL games. I ended up winning a few hundred dollars and could not connect/login to the site the day after. I had trouble connecting to this italian site on many occasions so not being able to connect the day after was nothing new.

I was told about this stake by pokurz. Because I was interested in a site with weak players. I contacted pleex and he made me an account on this site. Since US players cannot play on this site he made me an account and transferred funds into the account. As for profit splits, since this was an italian site and the account was made for me, Pleex would take his cut from the BR and ship profits to me using pokerstars or FTP.

I took on 2 stakes because I primarily play on FTP during the evening because the games are a lot better and the traffic from this italian site was highest during the day because of the time difference.

I rarely use skype because all of my friends use AIM so communication is usually pretty poor unless I'm contacted by email or PM'ed.

I don't think stating the entire agreement of the stake, or how pleex handles his staking business was relevant for the current situation. Also, you failed to admit about playing 600nl also. If you need some memory, i can send you the screen shot. The fact that you could not connect regularly to the site, does not provide reason to move up in stakes on your own judgement.

we agreed on a 500 game set of games. he was having trouble getting action (HU sngs) and he was complaining the first day. i realized this might be a problem long term to get the 500 games in in less than 6 months, so we decided to let him mix in cash games if he wanted. He agreed this would be best.


2 hours later i get home to about 7 IM's saying how he cant deal with the low volume/not gettin action and he sent me the stakeback + all the profits back (around 125ish in profits). sending all the profits back was great, but our expectation on the stake was well over 125.


It takes a lot of time to run things properly/set things up/coordinate things the right way and it was a huge waste of time with him.


he doesnt really seem to care about not keeping his word/upholding his end of the contract, so not sure he is the best person to stake.
