Applied for a HU stake and was given a $900 bankroll on the 7th May. He missed his first reporting obligation and has started to trot out every lame excuse in the book as to why he can't send, or hasn't sent.

So I figure at best he is a complete and utter liability for other stakers and shouldn't be considered suitable for future staking (that's if he ever does manage to overcome every major obstacle that life has suddenly put in his way of hitting "send"

More likely, I assume he has misappropriated most of the funds (sharkscope showing some larger mtts might lead me to that conclusion..). Rather than refraining from posting as many backers seem to do in the mistaken belief it will give them a chance to collect, I'm just putting this up here at this point. If he is a good guy, he will send what he owes and learn from his mistakes, and if he isn't, he won't.

After giving him a drop dead ultimatum of 20 minutes to send before posting on 2+2, I finally smoked him out and got $250 of the $900 returned, with further promises of making good later.

Naturally, will update this post if/when anything happens.

Started staking Dominic last week and it looks like his intent was to scam/be dishonest from the start. Sent him $500 to play up to $30fo's. He was hiding from search and playing in a $50 tourney. Not a good start. Investigated account history and his tournament losses were ~$50 but account showed he was down ~$400. Confronted him about it and he admitted to "taking a shot at cash" and losing. Didn't agree to ever back him for cash games. Will update thread if he makes any type of repayment but definitely would advise anyone to not stake him or have any kind of financial dealings with him.

Once in a while we feel sorry for a person and do a stake we likely should not do. This person had played a lot, but had not won in a while, so we started him on a really low stake and gave a new coach at the time essentially a "project."

We were aware of his legal issues (nothing big, just casual drugs and a couple minor arrests), and his mental issues as well, but once in a while we take pride in helping people turn around their lives.

It was not to be. He vanished soon after we started, having muttered something about suicide, and fortunately for us it was before we invested any real time (or reloads), so if he carried through on his promise the odds are no one needs to worry about staking him, however if he does manage to resurrect we would suggest the best thing to do is pass on this human and just let him achieve the destiny that awaits him.

I appreciate that you lost money on this and that sucks. However, if you have his information, I sincerely hope you attempt to contact his family and warn them.

Player was initially a good horse, then disappeared. It’s been close to a month since he’s reported in or replied to any emails/IMs I've sent, so I assume he has run with the stake funds. Will post if any update.

This charming gentleman applied to a stake for us. We saw this and also knew that another backer was recently conned by him.

Fortunately he paid a $20 administration fee to apply, and we will be distributing that among those he scammed. Hardly much in terms of compensation, but people like this should be squashed any way possible.

I also alerted Rainbow Warrior of the 2+2 name he is using now to apply for stakes which will hopefully be banned.

I did a small stake with RaveYou, which started before the last NF post, and ended immediately after it. I requested a Stars audit from him and it showed multiple unauthorized cashouts. The amount is small compared to the amounts lost by the other stables though, so I've asked that my share of this be paid to someone else scammed by this player instead.

Unrelated, I don't think there are many stakers besides Monteroy who could have pulled off the "administration fee" thing

I was backed by BBZ stable and had some success and had no problems shipping $ chopping profits etc.

But over time and not dealing with downswings well and being a degen i skimmed money from MU and degen'd it on sports betting.

Staked this player for a few months with no issues. Got into some MU playing mtts/sngs. He misregistered a 1k turbo HU sng which was far outside of the buyin restrictions. He cannot pay back and we have decided to stop staking him until we are paid back for said buyin.

I knew this would happen so i started screenshotting his PPL history the other day, but then after about 180 mtts (9 pages) i convinced myself i was wasting my time and he wouldn't really block it too (and there was 1670 pages needing screenshotted!!)

started staking Jake last November for mtts. Got 8k or so in MU pretty quick and then put him back to 3rs to grind out. Got further in MU - 12k. Also paid $600 for mtt coaching for him, of which turns out he missed several of the lessons and didnt tell me - even though I regularly asked him how lessons were going.
After 6 months of so of not making money he asked a friend for a loan. The friend said no and Jake took money out of the guys Skrill account - for some reason had the details. He sent the money to a 3rd party who then transferred the money to jake. Jake denies any involvement and even photoshops a stars cashier screenshot. He also emails stars denying all knowledge and accuses the innocent 3rd party of being a criminal. He goes on to tell me that stars gave him time to get the remaining money out of his account after banning him from playing on the site, but says he didnt see this part of the email and missed the opportunity - this was $1500 or so. When I asked to see the emails from stars on team viewer, I received no reply. I have not heard from him now in weeks.

In the time I staked Jake I did everything possible to help him. I did hand history reviews for him and then started making videos of his games. I had another member of my stable coaching him almost every day (I am grinding for SNE and just didnt have the time) I gave him access to everything I have accumulated in my time as a poker professional. I think he will try to get another backer and play on other sites.
