I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but yes 2 months is too long - you are right.

He in fact did get another staker and now because of this thread has paid back my backing in full as of a few hours ago. I will request that my original post gets edited/removed.

This is late by any normal standards. Won't make excuses for that. I felt sorry for him and considered him a friend. Then I just forgot about it - I'm not a real backer.

Anyway, Jeff Bennett should be considered an extremely risky investment. He stake rolled me after Black Friday.

He signed with us, the HUSNG.com Staking Program, for a 6-month contract that was also volume based. After 3 weeks with the program, he decided that he wanted to be staked by a different group because it was based in his first language, German. His English was fine during all conversations with us though, and we also have a few other players who speak German that we offered to help if he ever had any questions or issues based on language.

He told us the contract was not "legally binding" and that he could "easily scam us, but he didn't want to."

Obviously at this point we had to let him go as we aren't going to continue to stake someone who threatened to scam us if they didn't get their way.

So you're outing someone by real name because he claimed a contract between you and him was not "legally binding", (true for all gambling related contracts in almost all jurisdictions) and he could "easily scam you, but he didn't want to" (that you are easy to be scammed in this situation is also correct o/c, and what's wrong with not willing to scam?)?.

I get that you don't like this person, but outing his real name without him actually having scammed you is way out of line and irresponsible backer behaviour.

I'll agree with you 50% there. It wasn't a big enough issue to mention his real name and I shouldn't have. That has been removed.

I do think the issue should be mentioned in this thread so others know about it though. It's definitely not about "not liking him". This thread is neg feedback. His comment was obviously a veiled threat to scam if we didn't let him go. And, whether or not it is legally binding, leaving the way he did deserves neg feedback.

why should it matter if his real name is in the post or not? he signed a contract (who cares if its legally binding?) and then broke it. he essentially said "i coulda scammed you!!!, but didnt cause i am a good guy. you should just let me do what i want"

Why it matters is proportionality. Having his alias written up will hurt his possibilities in the poker world (rightly so), his real name also outside of that for years to come. The latter isn't warranted by maliciousness of his actions. And yes he's a scumbag, but if internet would contain the names of everybody having been a scumbag it would get pretty crowded with that.

Edit out the info about real name and the rest of the details. The pocket 5s profile is a of a real person i know, named Kiryl, who is a well known and respected player in a russian community. Just because the scammer used his alias on skype to pretend it's him or someone else, doesn't make Kiryl a scammer. Btw, the skype sn is even spelled wrong, it's angrymoroon, not angrymoron. I have Kiryl on skype, he has a totally different name.

It's the second time in the last few days, people just assume, that because some scammer took some known russian speaking player's name, that player is a scammer himself (before that it was ravic85 here - http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...ammer-1414357/). Please use common sense, people!
