We staked Richard from June 2016-June 2017. Near the end of the stake, he wanted out of the contract and he agreed that he would pay back the remainder of the makeup instead of finishing out his contract hands . Initially after paying back $200 of his makeup, Richard stopped replying to emails and skype messages.

Richard got in contact again after we initially posted negative feedback and started making significant payments towards his make up so we took down the negative feedback at that time ... but after several months again , we haven't heard back from him since February and he still owes us $478.48.

We have an 18 month agreement with 12 months remaining. One of our terms is that we can request a playing history audit at any time.

We requested a playing history audit from Joao. He told us he was going to choose to part ways. He sent us the correct amount of money, however he refused to send an audit and is leaving our agreement 12 months early.

There are discrepancies between our financials and sharkscope. This, combined with the refusal to send an audit leaves us guessing something was going on financially.

Guilherme went several months missing our study and volume agreements. After continual warnings we decided to part ways. We agreed on him repaying 50% of makeup. After sending two payments, he has stopped sending money and stopped replying to our messages.

We are still owed $1,600.

Quote:
I have been unable to play for the past week as my Son has been going thru some issues and it has been just awful for us as a family. We are working on the matter at hand (his mother and I) and we have hopefully figured it out now. I just want you to know that this will not be an issue going forward and that I am getting back to work tomorrow.
Michael Breier has not played or communicated with us since this message. Nor has he responded to our attempts to contact him by email, skype, facebook, text and via phone calls.

He has however, taken the opportunity to travel to Vegas and played at least 2 (that he has cashed) MTTs in June.

He is contractually obligated to offer any games he's planning to play to us first - which he hasn't done.

Michael A Breier owes us $16,865

We started working with Pedropokador in September 2016. Last Autumn his volume dropped markedly and although picking up again at the start of the year it has reduced to very little play over the last 3 months.

When asked about his low volume he replied :
Quote:
I have no job (in Brazil it is in the biggest economic crises). So I got a loan to buy a car and make Uber, and a car accident happened and I
had no insurance. Now I have a rental car, 2 debits to pay and no time to play. However I never took money from you, all the money stays on the sites .. I hope you understand my moment and I will pay you guys back, but not in a short time.
Pedropokador has returned all of the funds in his accounts and as he has stopped playing, he owes us his makeup of $1134. We will update if and when he makes payments .

Herbert joined us in February 2018. Earlier this month he informed us that he was getting a part-time job and would no longer be able to fulfill our requirements.

We asked that he send us his starting bankroll and makeup ($364.63 total). Herbert sent us $94.71. He is continuing to play daily and has stopped responding to our messages and still owes us $269.92

Additionally, we asked that he either make a full buyout based on his EV for the remainder of his agreement, or agree to not play more than 100 games per month for the rest of 2018. He did not agree to this either.

Correction to this - our Latina division knew Herbert had a job and he had this while he was playing for us. This month he said he could no longer handle both and could not meet our requirements.

Lot staking stables do 12-24 month agreements and if person leaves earlier in some of stables they need pay this "full buyout based on his EV for the remainder of his agreement".

@msusyr24, how is this "full buyout based on his EV for the remainder of his agreement" calculated exactly? If i leave in 1st month do i still need pay buyout for the remainder of agreement?
How you calculate EV $/per game or EV full amount exactly? is it based on current results? results after joining stable? estimated results after couching/videos?

I've heard many crazy things when it comes to backing-deals, but this tops the list

For transparency, what is the name of your stable msusyr24-new? Just so I know to never apply there even if I'm living on the street.

I'd reword this as: don't give your word if you don't like TOC's provided. Because the 'contracts' staking groups make you sign have as much legal value as the paper I use to wipe my a**.

full buyout based on his ev for remainder of the contract.

thats bold... thinking you guys can do that for everyone to improve them that much to justify whatever Asinine # you came up with.

Opinion still hasn't changed.. probably some fantastic poker minds, but horribly run "business"

That's an amateur tip actually. The pro tip would be not to make contracts that aren't enforceable in any meaningful way because it's content completely disregards established legal standards. It's nothing more than a gentleman's agreement and the only thing both sides can rely on is the other being faithful.

Alexander Carr's attempts to exploit financially vulnerable people by having them pay some 'expected EV' when they choose to work instead of play poker is legal nor ethical, so breaking that gentleman's agreement is totally fine. Actually the maker of such a contract shows more moral deficiency then the one who's choosing to work instead of play poker and isn't able to fulfill it.

herbertros

We should have been clearer on this situation.

Herbert informed us he could no longer meet our requirements. We asked that he not play more than 100 games per month for the remainder of 2018. We felt if he was going to end his 18 month agreement early with us due to not being able to hit our 300 game requirement, this would be easy to fulfill. He refused to agree to this.

Realizing he intended to put in fairly substantial volume with his own funds, we then asked for a buyout equal to 18% of his EV for the remainder of our agreement, which has been a standard buyout for us for years. He was unwilling to agree to this.

At this point we felt Herbert simply wanted to play for himself and that this is clearly negative feedback worthy for other stakers.

Herbert did not come to us and ask to reduce his requirements to 250 games or 200 games. Instead, he informed us he could not meet the requirements and then began playing for himself. He is playing an amount of games that in our view is unreasonable when choosing to end an 18 month agreement that we both signed, both parties had clear terms, and we have held up every term on our side.

We are not saying Herbert is a thief. This is not the "thief feedback forum". We're not creating him a website like we and others have done in the past for players. We are simply posting on a poker forum under "negative feedback" what we feel is negative feedback worthy. A thread designed for stakers to look through is where this belongs in our view. It is then up to other stakers to decide what they do with this information.

We often have stakers PM us on 2p2 or Skype and ask for clarifications on posts.

Frank has been with us since December 2013. In that time period he admitted to stealing funds twice. We continued to work with him. After these events, he won a promotion we held for our players and we still paid him the $1,000 prize. We also gave him a €739.77 loan for a new computer.

Last year, Frank went to the United States for several months without giving us any advance warning. This was yet another stain in our dealings with him.

Most recently, Frank let us know he was considering going to the United States again, several months in advance. We told him this would NOT be acceptable and that we must end our agreement and set up a repayment plan if he was going to take this trip. He agreed he would not take such a trip.

Fast forward two months and Frank is now in the United States. He went on the trip, against what we agreed on.

At this point, we must end our agreement. After so many issues we are uncomfortable backing Frank. He owes us $13,209.13.
