It would seem that they reacted very poorly, yes. But that doesn't change the fact that you, as you admitted, broke the contract. As a result, I expect you owe them money. The right thing to do would be to reach an agreement with them and move on, no matter how poorly they have handled this. Keep in mind, that although it doesn't excuse poor behaviour, their response happens because
you broke your contract.

I don't think anyone who has been critical of your posts has said that they believe you are owed nothing.
If all is as you say, it seems clear that Chenoa owes you some money. But it's entirely possible that you may have been able to get this stake back on track had you handled things in a better way. Given that you're highly unlikely to receive 100% of your funds going the legal route, and that you've made some mistakes yourselves, I'd suggest trying to negotiate a reasonable settlement with Chenoa.
