If you can prove internet fraud I do think that this is an issue the police would take on. Would they search high and low for the person? Probably not, but if you had his address or other personal information it wouldn't be too hard.

Seeing how he was online and viewing this thread, that seems to be the case. Also I'd appreciate it if the parties not involved would leave the decision making up to those who were actually scammed.

And just so there's no misunderstanding, the chances of any money being recovered are extremely small. If nothing else, the scammed posters will have a reasonable means of outing the guy for what he is among people he associates with. That's about where i expect this to wind up.

The people who were scammed have the contact details for more than just his facebook/myspace friends

OK here's the deal, ngaskin shipped me an email yesterday and says he would like to repay so his account is unbanned. Take it with a grain of salt as this isn't the first time promises like that have been made, etc etc etc

He requested that unnecessary posts be deleted, which I don't particularly like doing, however posts can always be viewed or undeleted by mods. I have assured NG that the thread will be deleted completely if everyone should be repaid, which I'm sure woul dbe fine by everyone.

I can understand that, however most of what's gone (about 2/3rds of the thread) doesn't really add anything. He requested it as a show of good faith, and whether justified or not, I'm giving it to him for the time being. If he doesn't come through obviously that will change.

As it stands now ngaskin has scammed three posters but has promised to repay them, and will have a reasonable opportunity to do so. Please keep unnecessary comments to a minimum.

Im not too bothered how the money comes back aslong as i get atleast this amount. You have my bank details that obv would be easiest for me. Setting up an 888.com account etc is alot of hassle but if thats the only way then i will do that

I am in the US so I don't have a Pacific account or a Neteller account. I can accept payment by PayPal though. If that doesn't work then maybe a respected 2+2er that has a Pacific account will allow you to send funds to them and then they can send the money back to us through Full Tilt, PokerStars, etc. If that won't work I can also accept a bank wire.

I am owed $496 (160,000 pts @ $3.10/1K).
