The fact that Fernando thinks the above is a normal way to go about running a business and treating employees is enough indication to anyone that they need to stay far away from this individual.

I saw Jnandez at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Strongly disagree with the above.

Not sure why OP hasn’t mentioned it here so far, but he is a kid (c20 years ago) and obviously went into this transaction with full trust and was just trying to do JNandez (his boss!) a favour.

Building on the above, never seen any mention of quality in any posts by OP or JNandez therefore, please explain.

I can’t comment on what happened with Doug, but at least that is two sensible ADULTS who can look after themselves. OP is a kid, who got his mum to fork out hundreds of dollars on materials and spend hundreds of hours knitting scarfs for his former boss based on a written request.

I wouldn’t even call this a business transaction, it’s more of a trusting favour. Personally I’m a member of JNandez poker and am strongly considering not renewing my membership as I don’t want to fund a person who acts like this. Even trying to level him with the ‘send the scarfs first, then we can discuss costs’ is really horrible behaviour.

Anyway that’s my take on the above and best of luck OP

Funny story about jnandez. A high stakes PLO pro was talking to jnandez last year at the Bellagio. He was giving jnandez props for his videos, play, and even fashion style. After jnandez left, the high stakes pro went back to his 50-100 PLO table, cracked a smile, and the whole table just busted out laughing as though there was an inside joke.

I was just a witness and not sure what was going on. Maybe someone here can give me some insight.

But seriously, you don't do 100 hours of unchecked work and then ask what's the price. OP should have made a deal for price per one scarf, then maybe send like 5 pieces and if it's good keep on knitting. If someone told me that a thread like this would arise, I would have never believed it

Occasionally those threads are left because they are considered "newsworthy" enough for the N(ews)VG forum. Sometimes those are close decisions, but traffic isn't relevant to where they belong.

I was reading the Upswing article they just pu to ton this and in it said something about Fernando pushing to make plo content and for subscribers to buy 6 or 12 month packages, but only produced 3 months of content. So basically people got scammed because they didnt get what they paid for(because fernando bounced) Now, i assume that makes upswing responsible to make good on that with the paying customers which they probably did i wouldnt expect anything less. My real question is, does Upswing have any legal recorse to force Fernando to pay those damages the company lost? Upswings hands were tied and had to make right because of Fernandos actions. He should have to make good on that money , not Upswing

I hope Doug makes a video about this whole thing and has srslysirius put Fernandos face into that scene from Happy Gilmore where Adam Sandlers grandmother complains about her fingers hurting from knitting so much.
