One of the lessons people always learn the hard way is, you never send first.

If we can get a good idea for some new scarves I'm happy to help sell them for the cause (If mom wants to make more scarves)

Let this and all the other disputes be a lesson to people: work out the finer details in advance so that everyone is on the same page...and when dealing with custom-goods, it's a smart idea to get money up front.

Why was this thread moved while numerous other scamming-/weaseling out of debt-threads remain in NVG (which I’m going to assume has the most traffic)?

Have you ever in your life, ordered anything to be custom made? There's a reason customers are asked to be paid up front; because the custom order is so specific that it has little value to anyone else so the seller needs to make sure they get paid first.

You talk about trust when it's pretty clear that for this transaction, Filip and his mom took on all the risk by trusting you. After many hours of manual labor (this isn't just drop shipping some mass produced made in china thing do you) hand knitting the scarves. You are now asking them to take on MORE RISK by not only sending you product first, but incurring the shipping costs as well.

What makes you feel such entitlement to deserve such treatment when you've not shown any courtesy in your dealings with Filip? He says he's been chasing you and your team for over a month. You ignored all comms and within yet you are able to respond to a public 2p2 thread (that's buried in a back forum) almost immediately?

Made this account for the sole purpose to give some insight to Fernando and his character from an encounter I had with him January of 2014. I sat next to Fernando in a 5k 6max event, we got along, mentioned to him that my friend and I were doing a horseback trail/beach riding excursion. He laughed said he might be interested, we exchanged numbers and I busted a few levels later. I text him that night telling him the price/time and he says why the hell not, and so it was set.

Next day comes and the van comes to pick us up, he seemed excited said he hadn't ridden a horse in years, we had that in common so I guess we were a little nervous. I tried to joke around a bit telling him that the professionals ride with both legs on one side, and I hope to be that good one day. Few people laughed but I thought it was funny and thats all that matters lol. So we get to the horses, everyone gets on, and we are off. The 1st 10 min is a slow beach walk, and I'm behind Fernando, and my friend behind me. I was snapping pics and videos, and then out of nowhere Fernando swings his legs to one side, and starts riding side saddle. I took a 8-10 second video of this, we had some laughs, and I put my phone away. We finish the trail and are back at the hotel bar in about 90 minutes.

This is the part that I will never forget and has truly stopped me from befriending strangers, or at least made me more wary. I pull out my phone and start showing some pictures, I told him I would text him photos of him because as he put it "my friends won't believe I did this". I get to the video of him riding side saddle. My friend and I start laughing our asses off, as you can imagine how hilarious this looks. (We had also had a few drinks) He gets red almost immediately. "Delete that **** right now" "That is the gayest thing ever I don't know why I did it" At first I thought he was kidding, but he reassured me, "If you don't delete that I will break your phone" and he grabbed at my phone. I told him to relax, and what was the big deal. He said he was "big online" and that if the video got out people would talk ****. Looking like he was about to cry, I took my phone, deleted the video in front of him, he made sure it was fully deleted, then said "I knew something was ****ed up about you guys" and walked away.

I had only occasionally thought about that night, until I saw this post talking about dealings with him. I would randomly google his name, and see him doing well in tournaments, online and live, and was some what happy for him getting his **** together. Now reading and hearing about him again prompted me to tell this story, and at least give another perspective of Fernando Habeggar.

It was the last delivery of the night, to an address I had never heard of. Put it into google maps, turns out to be way on the outskirts of town - 10X the usual distance of my delivery. Houses are very spread out , and most have farms or huge gardens.
I arrive at 3am, we stop delivering at 2am. The front gate opens and I drive for a few minutes down a dirt road . The house turns out to be a tiny little white shack. All kinds of creepy little cat figures, and shrines to cats in front yard , remind me of voodoo type ****. I only noticed the house because the porch light was on.

As soon as I arrive the porch light goes off, as well as inside light. Started feeling extremely uncomfortable and spooked. I decide to sit in car for a minute and see if anyone is going to come out. I see a dark figure lurking around through the window and wonder why the **** did he turn out the light?
I decide to call the number used to make delivery and let him know that I’m here since I don’t really want to go to the door without knowing wtf is going on. Phone number doesn’t work.

**** it, decide to go and knock on the door. It’s extremely dark and I can barely see.
Door opens, and Fernando just says “BAAAAAAAM”

long silence
I decide to set the pizza down on the table and tell him the total again. He closes his eyes and begins stroking the cat he has in his lap and mummering something about loose crushers and psychometrics .
I hear someone in the basement groaning and knocking **** over. Decide to just leave the pizza and go.

Looking at it from a third party perspective. Seems like the people filing grievance against him are responsible for their own outcome.

Sounds like he gave you an opportunity and you clearly let him down with the quality.

Seems like Doug and his boys are trying to perpetuate a narrative that he's a scumbag when actuality he's cutthroat in business. If YOU give a guy an out in a contract that he's outperforming, how is it on him when he exercises it?

What is "clear" about the quality? JN hasn't said anything about the quality. In fact, he said "looks GREAT". How/why does a guy with a 10yr old account and so few posts come in here randomly making unqualified observations?

I met Jnandez at a grocery store in Las Vegas during the WSOP. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him poker related questions or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
