It's the Main Event. A huge multi-day tourney. Mysterious backer wakes up on day 4 or whatever morning after they moved off the bubble and checks to see if OP made the money. If so, he sends $270 to OP along with "sorry just got back in town! here's my 2% as agreed upon. glad to see you made the money - hope you ship it!". If he doesn't, he goes away and hopes OP doesn't out him. Not sure if I'm surprised or not that no one but the OP sees it this way...
