While I think OP was a little naive to ship the 10k, he had his reasons, and he stated them clearly. I'll certainly do anything I can to exert peer pressure on this Deadbeat - even if it's just to berate him for what he's done in chat and spread the word that he's a thief so others don't get burned.

If there's no integrity to the game, and among the players, then there's no game - period. Forget the games getting tougher - an issue like welching or cheating someone like this is germane to the entire game.

I did say I wasn't going to go around looking to play him. But it's crazy to assume if a decent game is going that he happens to be in, people should all sit out. There are regs that probably don't even read this site, or won't see this thread, and it's going to be a hell of a battle trying to convince everyone to sit out just because he is in the game.

Also I think I could expedite his path to busto better by playing him heads up than not... but I guess I'll restrain for now if it makes you feel better about the situation.

im sure ur a nice guy but u cant seriously expect ppl to not play w/ him right? hes absolutely awful and the games online at significant stakes suck, nobody would ever pass up the opportunity to play him. im sure that at some point ive seen every person that i know that owes me money playing in a game and it never crossed my mind to think "i cant believe that these guys are playing with someone that owes other ppl money". and when im playing in a game live or online with someone that i know owes a lot of money what i usually think is "SHIP IT, PARTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTY TIME" cuz the reason for owing a lot of money in poker is usually that u suck at poker, luckboxed ur way into having a ton of money briefly, borrowing money while going busto (and often paying it back), then actually going busto and not being able to repay what u owe.

OK, but either someone is +EV against him or -EV. If they are +EV, then they should play him because that's the most damaging thing, right? Because your stated goal is to cripple his only source of income, which is poker. So 2+2ers should do the complete opposite and play him more. But wait, you don't want him to go busto, right? Cuz then he really won't be able to pay you back. OK, so everyone who is +EV versus neverwin should sit out so he doesn't go broke...? But that was the goal in the first place.

The people who read 2+2 are more likely to be +EV versus neverwin, I'd think we'd all agree. So by 2+2ers sitting out, neverwin gets free access to only play non 2+2ers/fish? I would give my left nut to have everyone who reads 2+2 sit out of my games.

Get a lawyer and sue him for 9K plus your legal fees. What is it with people not using lawyers? Sue him for damages if allowed. He won't show to fight it, and you'll have a 20K settlement against him (or more). Then garnish his accounts and take his car. Pain in the butt, but worth 9K. Don't speak with him again save to let him know how to pay you. Anything else tell him to eff off.
