Didn't read the thread and only scanned the OP but why don't you try to get the money in smaller chunks. I'm sure you could have gotten 500 to 1000 bucks several times by now.

I did a lot of transfers with this guy and had a huge window of opportunity to scam him and repay OP. Not that'd I'd ever do that though, I also don't really understand how moral obligation works on either side here.

At the time of trading with him for a few weeks he was super nice and easy to deal with... much more so than average, so I was very surprised when I saw this thread.

He still plays on sealswithclubs under the screen names "bitconball17" and "CaptainTom" and others (you can have as many screen names as you want). He also has a bitcoin business a bitcoin based escrow called "bitcoin baller" or something like that. He also has a pawn shop in California.
