where does push-fold begin?

im new to tournaments, so can someone humor me and tell me at what stack depth (roughly) we start push-folding?

It's more complicated that that but simply put when it's no longer profitable to raise/fold.

so i assume this happens around 15-20bb?

In the old days it was around 10bb but now most players will go into push/fold closer to 13-15bb.

Situation dependant - it might be correct to raise with 15bb since with the right conditions a raise from a 15bb stack seems stronger than a shove. It might also be correct to shove 21-2bb from LP or the blinds if there is an open raise from a loose player and a call or two that seem weak. Open raising with 13 or less bb without the intention to call any jam just loses too much of your stack.
