Hi guys

V was 43/26 on 40 hands. Pretty aggro postflop although sample is so small....also he liked to defend his blinds in this small sample

What do we do? River looks pure air/some strong hand to me...

I think it's a good spot to bluff catch with his overs. I think that when we pot control ott with a medium strength hand I like to bluff catch otr.

i think that there are enough busted straight draws in his range to justify the river call : 98, 87, 97, Q9, Q8 and our hand does not block any of those combos.

This is stuff I always forget when I try to hand read lol....good thing you remind me of it haha

I folded in fact ; in my plan I was going to call any 1/2-2/3 bet if he indeed bet the river but that big size unnerved me....

there is always alternative view - the large bet sizing might be an indicator of bluff that supports the decision to call. So, it could encourage you rather than discourage
Let's say that he has A3s or 22 and made a loose call on the flop and checked the turn and hit the monster hand on the river. Would he use the same bet sizing to get value from your range? As you mentioned, you were ready to call 50-60% of the pot, so it might be reasonabl for him to use this sizing for value bet rather than pot-sized bet.
