i voted for turn and then i relooked at the stacksizes and decided it was the flop....this is a sick nasty spot.

flop youre getting such killer odds its hard to fold, its hard to raise into a 3 way pot, but i really want to. all options are pure ****.

anyways, i think you should probably just fold on the turn.

You're getting the immediate pot odds to call the flop, and reraising probably won't get both UTG and UTG+1, so calling looks best.

UTG+1 has a pot-sized bet left, so pushing the turn is probably better if you intend to call a blank river. You'll have more equity if you're behind, and you might UTG off a better flush draw or a hand like T8.

So I guess I'll vote "turn."

I voted river b/c you beat nothing and people usually don't call a flop bet then take over the betting lead on the turn and move the last of their tiny chip stack in on the river in a multiway pot with air.

Randomguy2,

Probably time to be folding on the turn. River is kind of a bummer too, but you got there by calling the turn so yea...I vote turn.

PF and flp are fine imo.

Definately not the turn as you're getting odds here with 14 outs. I'm assuming 2P is good. Even 11 outs is close enough to call.

Not to high jack the abuse (because this went horribly, horribly wrong), but with a pair + FD + 3-1 odds means I need to call the turn, right? I am 23.9% to flush or trip my 4s (11 outs, and I need 24% equity to call). Am I missing something when you say to fold the turn?

i think he needs more like 3.5:1 to call on the turn to be mathmatically correct....is my math wrong?
so i dont think hes getting proper pot odds on the turn.

3.5 - 1 is to hit my flush, but I also have a pair. So, almost all of the time if I hit trip 4s I will have the best hand and most of the time if I hit a 6 for 2 pair. SO that 9+2+3 outs out of 46 cards, and villain is giving me odds for 11 outs (which I think averaged over everything villain can have I have).

The problem is the RIO I gave myself by feeling completely pot committed on the river with my unimproved crappy pair.

Are you going to fold the river unimproved? Otherwise you should consider your pot odds calling this bet and the next bet.

Yeah, if I am calling the river unimproved I don't have the odds to call, and I did call the river unimproved! I didn't fully comprehend just how pot committed I would feel on the river when making my turn decision.

No, you are correct. I posted quickly when I was at work and didn't factor in the equity you get by pairing your 4, which is a lot.

You could feasibly have as many as 14 outs, but I would safely discount some of those because as you have stated some of the time you run into a better two pair or a set. Even still you have 24-27% equity depending on the ranges you assign.

It does lead to an interesting conundrum on the river because is at least some of the time villian donking it up with a better flush draw that you pulled ahead of by pairing your 4?
