So we are at the final table in a $70 MTT with 33 entrants. Blinds are 1500/3000 with 400 ante. average stack is about 30k and table is full of maybe 2 decent regs and the other 4 were bad than myself.

Im in the BB with 10h-9s and 52k chips, currently 2nd in chips.

Action folds to the SB who has 55k in chips and makes it 6k to go.

I call and flop comes As-9c-9d and the sb goes all in.

Im 3 from the money, and only top 2 out of 4 pay well, Given the pre flop raise it looks possible that he has a weak ace, me and villain have no history so I have no idea how he plays.

Do I call here? if not is it strictly because ICM?

Do you really want they min-cash? Folding doesnt secure anything... ICM runs ITm or in big bubble situations

Shove pre if villain has a fold button.

As played, call seems fine. Unknown villain could be spassing here with really low equity (Ax,pp,air) and ~never has a fh. Also winning this hand puts you in a massive chiplead that should be really useful in putting pressure on other villains.

I would never shove this pre, in this spot. Call seems fine.
On the flop it is like the easiest snappedisnapsnap call ever!
About your ICM concerns: 3 pl. to bust is a lot in this format. CL has under 20bb, at this point its like bingo. So i'd be just happy to get such an insanely lucky spot to put my money in.

My bad, I thought we had 9Ts for some reason. 9To is better as call vs 2x raise, I agree. Even T9s is kinda close but it’s such a good spot for us to bluff that unless villain is a nit, I’d shove pre.
