$50 MTT daily tournament, 300/600 blinds no ante

UTG (older, recreational type player) raises to 1500, MP calls, Hero raises to 5500 from HJ with AQo. Folds around to UTG. UTG snaps, MP caller folds.

Flop: (13400 pot)
A74 (2 spades)

Villian snap shoves.

I have around 20k behind, and Villian has me covered. I go into the tank and fold. I believe I have an edge at my table and still had a big stack after a fold.

I feel like I have the best hand here more often than not, but didn't want to play for the massive overbet. Is this a mistake?

Do you have a spade? Is the ace a spade?

He has you covered but by how much? If he has you covered by 14 bigs that's a lot different than if he has you covered by 50 bigs.

I don't think he's donk-shoving AK for 1.5x pot. Probably more likely to be A7s, 77, A4s or some sort of draw (or combo draw). I probably call since chips are so valuable in these $50 tournaments since the blind structures always move up so brutally. You're gonna lose a lot but these are usually poorly structured turbos that require you to call these spots.

what are the stack sizes of UTG, MP and HJ? It matters a lot! maybe you should have gii pre-flop?
