OP just PM'd me. Apparently the chart is filled with errors and he said you should probably all delete it immediately in case you use it again by mistake.

Hi there,

I actually found a bug in your spreadsheet, which wasn't in rev 2.0.

When i change the percentage which stands for green or red cells in for instance pushbot for the second time or more, the percentages in the 2-a a-2 field are not updated and and there isn't a slide in the color patern. As i said in rev 2.0 this is working fine. I don't got a clue can you help me pls?

Greetz

Hmm....could you please elaborate, or perhaps take a screen shot? I will try to replicate and repair.

Hi Jitexpert,

thx for the help!
So situation before: left is rev 2.0 right is rev 4.2

Now I change the value of the green cells to 25%, notice that rev2.0 change the cell color from for example pocket 6's from green to yellow. In Rev 4.2 6's remain green.

If it's still not clear just let me know.

grtz

This is very clear. I just downloaded the spreadsheet, and typed in your numbers and got the correct results (which are the results on the left from version 2.0).

I recommend delete the version you have, download it from the link on page 1 of this thread, and try again. PM me if it still doesn't work.

this is great stuff.

i always thought of creating something like your resteal bot myself but i suck at excel.

i have to minor ideas for improvement though.

first i would love to be able to input villains pfr instead of my perceived resteal succes rate.
i.e. have a field called Villain Opening Range (R5) below Villain Calling Range (R4) and have the resteal fold field (E17) be "=(1-R4/R5)".
i would do this myself but i have no idea how to unlock the cells. is that even possible for someone not the author of the file? ive tried looking in open offices help and googled as well but didnt find anything on this.

my other idea is to have more ranges for the call bot. like any2 and 70% and stuff like that. guess i will be using your great tool mostly for postanalysis and not while playing anyways and the calling problems can be easily done in pokerstove but it would be a nice touch.

thanks a lot anyways, this thing is great.

Hey Guys, long time lurker first time poster etc etc..

I often read the MTT strategy forums, there is always a number of very good contributions imo.

Anyways reason for my first post was to thank OP for the spreadsheet. It is really very good.

I can also use my first post to congratulate you on a very good 1000th post

Complete newb to MTT's and this has helped a lot! Intresting to see how wide it's profitable to push on the button. Hopefully I can get an answer to a newbish question;

Is ICM only applicable in shorthanded STT? I though it became less certain the more players involved? For example i've just started playing 135man rush tourneys and I am unsure how to apply the ICM bot function in the final stages.

JIT,
I downloaded your spreadsheet and instructions and have a question.

Is this intended for use while you are playing at the table?
Or is it intended for review, like SitandGo Wizard?

Are people inputting these values while they are playing?

I def use this when reviewing HHs, and I have been known to timebank at a FT just to see what's up.

George,

for a future Version (in case there will be one)

is it possible to add certain hands to a specific range?
like if villain will call with 77+ AJ+ in general and KQs ~50% of the time?

cheers

To make the data table for the ranges, I had to fix a range in pokerstove, then type in all 169 hand combos, click calculate, then copy and paste into the spreadsheet. So the range data is static. If only I had the source code to pokerstove.....

But anyway, I have found that some suggested ranges are soooo close to one of the ranges in the spreadsheet that it is "close enough" and a good estimate.

Try taking the range you have above and comparing it to a close range (the 7.5% looks right) in the spreadsheet. Check the equity of like 10 hands and see how close it really is. I think you will be surprised. (Try like TT AQs 89s KQo 55 QQ A8s ATo...)

So really, when you are selecting a range, you are ESTIMATING. So maybe the range you are thinking isn't on the spreadsheet, so get one that looks close, and realize that the "fringe" +cEV hands could be affected by the fact that they are not against the exact range.

yea i know, i already use it this way alot and its really awesome since its done so fast and accurate.

just saying its not perfect yet to calculate the EV and if there was a way to fix that it would be great for the next version of the sheet.
