Hi,

I always find myself in this very similar spot and to be honest I'm not quite sure how to handle it.

Villian was VP 34%/PR 16%/3B 10% over 101 hands

Poker Stars, $9.80 Buy-in (1,400/2,800 blinds, 280 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #37933643

Hero (BTN): 116,709 (41.7 bb)
SB: 190,630 (68.1 bb)
BB: 241,359 (86.2 bb)
UTG: 138,390 (49.4 bb)
MP: 157,423 (56.2 bb)
CO: 134,519 (48 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with T T
2 folds, CO raises to 6,300, Hero raises to 15,400, 2 folds, CO calls 9,100

Flop: (36,680) 5 9 9 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets 18,707, CO calls 18,707

Turn: (74,094) 8 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero ???

A couple questions I'd like help with:
1) Pre-flop - is the 3b good? How about the 3b size? I personally think its a good 3b spot as it charges a loose villian to see the flop, protects my hand, and builds the pot IP.
2) C-bet flop size? I c-bet about half pot.
3) What's the villians range after they called my pf 3b and flop c-bet? 55+, KQh+, AJh+, AQ+ with a heart? Is that too tight of a range?
4) What to do on the turn? a) check, b) jam, c) bet/fold, or d) bet/call? If c or d, what size of bet should I put out? 35% pot?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Pre: First of all, the idea to 3bet from BTN vs CO's 2.2ish 2bet pre is good BUT your sizing is too small. You should be going to like 17.5k-18.5k here - charge him max pre. He has to call ~9k to win ~27k, so pretty much 3:1, only needing 25% he can call profitably with so many hands. You're ranging on him pre because of this is way too tight.

Flop: I think betting TT on 995 is completely fine, since you'll be balancing your overcards Ax/Kx/QJo/s/A9/22+ here. You can make the argument to check flop too depending on player. Some players might start to blast off and rep the 9x or go nuts with a flush draw. Otherwise, by cbetting you value target all his floats/fd's/underpairs/etc.

Turn: pot 74k with around ~85k effec, SPR close to 1:1, just rip imo.
