Tournament Length of Time? Tournament Length of Time?

08-02-2008 , 05:51 PM
I played in the $3 Stars rebuy last night which began at 7PM CST. There were over 4000 entrants. I finished at 2:30AM in 24th place on a bad all in. I would not have made the bet had I not been so tired.

I really had lost interest in the money and the game by that time.

I can play ideally for about 4 hours and be sharp.

Please recommend any mtt tourney or sit n'go that is $20 or below buy in that would run about that amount of time or less to reach the final table.

Those marathons are not for me.

Any help or suggestion appreciated.

Thanks,

Try the MTT sit-n-goes.

Regular speed 180-player tournaments take about 4 hours to finish.

Turbo 180s take 90-120 minutes.

Turbo 45s take 60-75 minutes.

I've never played in regular speed 45s, but I'll guess they're in the 2-hour range.

Thanks for the reply. I played an 180 table turbo 11+1 and finished 6th for $99 payout.

I was fresh and played well. It was a good tip! It took under 2 hours.

I know this is almost a decade old, but I'm new to MTTs and haven't found anything about the length of them. Can anyone confirm the length of the 180 mans with 15 min levels and share any insight on how to figure out how long most micro 1.10-4.40s run? It's hard to play MTTs when u don't know when they'll end.
