Survival tournament bankroll

In case your unfamiliar with the toruney layout, a survivor tourney is where top 10% of the field cash for the same exact prize amount (10x the buy in). Any ideas on the sorts of implications this spells for survivor tourney minimum bankroll requirements?

I have absolutely no verifiable opinion but off the top of my head it seems to me the bankroll needs would be largely driven by the typical number of players entered. Please excuse me if my opinion is invalid, or better yet educate me.
