Hello all, currently grinding 90 and 180m at the micro level - have a full-time career so don't have max volume but looking to get much better using Equilab, HRC, etc on a regular basis. Have a good financial/quantitative background but do not yet have the "right way" to study down pat. Looking to focus more on study and less on volume ATM, so a theory-based approach. Middling breakeven/losing online MTT player (winning player in live MTTs) probably playing above my stakes. Starting to take it seriously and doing less clicking. Play primarily $11-$55 tourneys. Looking for a discord group to help improve and contribute to.

I am a winning small stakes player (45% ROI in 1-5$ tournaments, 35% ROI in 5-10$). I play on SWC, so all the tournaments are mainly 2-3 table turbos, there are no real large field (50+) events except for the sunday main and mini main. I am looking for a study group to help me move up in stakes and learn a lot of ICM that is relevant in small field tournaments. I am working rn, but willing to put 5-10 hrs a week into study. My BR is 380$ rn from a 50$ deposit, and I would like to hit 2k by the end of the year putting in 10+ hours of play. PM me, I can use any messaging platform.

I’ve just joined two plus two. I really don’t have much idea on how to go about things. I just wanted to ask I’ve been playing poker for the last 4-5 months. I generally like to play low stakes tournaments but I haven’t had much luck in it. Could I get some advice on how to improve my game?

Australian Player here. Had some success playing live tournaments here and decided to play online to get practice in for the bigger live tournaments that come up.

Hi guys,
I'd like to start a study group, and I've got quite a specific idea about it. Here it goes, I hope someone will be interested :

- I play 2€ MTT (grew my BR slowly from 30 to 200).
- Europe time zone
- I play a small volume (mostly 1 session per week, sometimes 2, so let's say 7-8 tourneys per week on average)
- I don't do more than 3-tabling (reading and exploiting being the funniest part of the game imho)
- I know all the basics of the game, but I'm not experienced enough to play on auto-pilot. I often need to use all my time-bank thinking about what to do, when most people on this forum would just go like "ok that's a standard 30% pot cbet here"
- I feel I need to improve my skills on standard spots that occurs a lot. Iffy spots which deserve a thread on this forums are interesting of course, but there is more value for me in playing perfectly the standard ones.
- My idea is to study through "themed weeks". Like, this week we focus on EG preflop : 3bet or flat. We would tag maybe 10-12 hands each, including the most standard ones, and review them.
- I use pokertracker 4. I don't have other softwares so far.
- English is probably the easiest, but would be ok to communicate in ES, FR or IT.

I don't have a specific target, I just want to improve my skills, and slowly reach more interesting stakes.
