Asking for explanation from smart poker players. Even when villain limps with pretty wide range 50%+ and all players fold, shoving here is barely +EV. Most of the time shoving here from BB is -EV depending on villain ranges. But why? Because its free to check and I am in position?
What makes this play different from shoving from SB(10Bigs) against BB with almost any 2 cards. Shoving from SB is clearly +EV but shoving from BB is breakeven or minus EV? I cant see the difference.

Well, I dont know if Im smart but I have played some poker.
If you always jams in this situation your villians will take notice to this and start call you more often. And with 55+ AK - A8 call, call as sb.
As BB in this situation if you check pf and bet half the pot if its checked to you at the flop you almost always win no matter what the flop is. If sb bets at the flop the board and v style is deciding what to do. One important thing, you play in position.
J9 (o) is a okay hand in position but is it an All-in hand? Remember villian payed the bb and accepted to play the hand out of position. He problably folds to your All-in, but when he doesent, youre the underdog. You win little alot of times and lose big all other times.
