You should never go broke here only because you have a 1,000 more chips than Villain. The better question is should you ever find a fold button at any point, and the answer again is no.

Understandable, so you dont think i should be finding the fold BTN maybe OTT? just his bet sizing it would tough to find enough bluffs in his range but people love to barrell blind vs blind so bascially im wondering if there is a different line to approach in this hand maybe to start not defending Q2o vs SB OR when he is that low stacked? make any sense please open my mind thank you very much for your time!

I can only see two options:

Either you decide pre that he'll be raising/folding a ton and just rip it.
I just feel like at 14bb they should be just open ripping so many hands,
so it feels like a more polar range to me but just my opinion on gen. population tendencies - this is player dependent, check stats.

    or

OTT would be the time to make the fold. His double barrel size of 500 into 890
after having raised pre is a stronger line than just shoving OTT at this SPR. You always know he's jamming river so you have to factor that in.

very true thank you. i was so close .to folding turn his sizing like you said its rarely a bluff with that SPR i just didnt want to get bluffed but he has like no bluffs. ill def note that player up and maybe next time rip over him PF bcuz he would of folded there or fold OTT because there is not much i beat vs his line and sizings with that SPR thanks a lot for your imput and your time cheers dude!

Kind of a goofy situation. It's almost not even worth it to call the pf raise in this spot with this type of hand. Villain only has 14bbs and you're semi short as well with 24 bb's. I tend to agree with "Meltygrind" that it's either a shove or fold pre, I'd lean towards a fold.
Post flop; since you called and hit top pair I really don't see any other way but to get all the chips in, otherwise, what's the point in calling the pf raise?

Very true! i didnt have much stats on villain since he was new on the table for like 3 hands. So i think spots like this i like shoving or folding PF becuz most players will be open shoving in those spots so calling seems to be the worst but yeah hitting TP postflop is hard because he will prolly stab his entire range OTF so its tricky but turn to me with his sizing seems to be a clear fold!

If you're going to defend with Q2o and 14bb effective stacks, you can't fold when you flop top pair.

Uuhh yeah , i would fold Q2 ; as played a top pair heads up it's a powerful hand. As you say turn is the main point of the hand and i don't think i fold it either
