Rule of thumb for iso raise ranges ? Rule of thumb for iso raise ranges ?

I read on another forum someone says his iso-raise range is the same as his open range from the open-limper's position.

Easy to remember, but I don't know how much it's worth (and it was posted a few years ago too)...
Does it make sense ? Is there another simple way to build an iso raise range ?

We're talking about earlygame, deep stacks.

Imo that would greatly be impacted by the limper profile, and how many players are left to act
Does he limp/fold a lot ? Are you in the CO or BU ?

In general you do not want to isolate with the same range - a limper often has small aces and thus wont make sense to isolate him with A3o from the BU
