should i suspect that guy (a TAG) will 3bet me a long range after my raise short stack?because he nows that i maybe try to steal the blinds with this mini raise?

You wanna open shove hands that aren't happy to get jammed on like 77 or AJo etc.

Can't imagine he thinks you're trying to steal the blinds in UTG+1.

I imagine he thinks to raise in that position you must have a fairly decent hand. If I was going to continue I'd be shoving as I really don't want to play 77 out of position against someone with twice my stack.

If you raise here rather than shove you're already pot committed really. Say you raise to 1k there's going to be 2200 in the pot, on the flop if he ever bets 500 for you to be all in the pot odds are going to be 5:1. Seems easier to go all in pre and either take the pot down immediately or at best play a coin flip.

This was my thought too when I first read the post. Stack size and position make this hard to play as anything other than an open/shove.

You could probably justify a fold by the fact that the only hand he's 3-betting that doesn't have you totally dominated is AK. I think he would jam AQ to iso and he's not 3-betting 22-66 and if you fold you still have 14 BB's left.

In the end this is why open/shoving is best so as to avoid these terrible spots.
