Questions about two spots in an online MTT and a few general questions from a cash game player Questions about two spots in an online MTT and a few general questions from a cash game player

I've been playing NLHE for two years now and have put basically everything in to cash games. I've played in ~15 live tournaments and ~10 online...The live ones were very poorly structured and were charity room tournaments so there weren't too many people that knew anything about poker playing. I really want to get better and plan to start playing daily in my PPPoker club's $11 buy in $2k guarantee. Anyways I have two hands I was wondering about and two overall general questions:

1. First 15 paid, there were 58/92 remaining, average stack is 22 BB. I'm in BB with 17 BB. There are 2 limpers (15 BB, HJ and 27 BB, CO). I have 8 6. Should I be shoving here? I just checked and x-folded a Q73r flop.

2. 35/92 remaining, average stack is 16 BB. I'm in BB with 10 BB. There are two limpers (12 BB, UTG and 17 BB, CO.) I have Q9 and check. Should I be shoving here? Flop comes 6 3 3 and I shove. Is this a bad play?

3. To my understanding we want to play very tight during the early stages of a tournament and start to loosen up when we get shallower. I have been studying push/fold charts for 1BB-15 BB. What should we be doing in the 15BB-25BB range? Is this still push/fold or are we playing post flop? When do we stop looking to play post flop and exclusively shove?

4. What hands should we be calling shoves with? I couldn't find any charts for this.

Both hands were played fine. In loose-passive local MTTs you generally want to shove tighter and more linear ranges because players will limp-call wider and also like to trap with big hands.

At the lower end of 15-25bb you can open shove hands you don't want to see flops with (like small pairs). Also look for spots to 3b-shove - primarily for value if they call light but you can do it often as a bluff if villains have shown a tendency to fold to 3b.

15-25 you no longer play for implied odds.

I don't accept that you should be tight early. Early is when fish are splashing, stacks are deep enough to compound edges and tournament life is cheap (nothing invested beyond buy in)
