My rationale was that SB was probably stealing fairly widely but I was concerned with the lack of fold equity if I shoved. So with the incredible odds I was getting and a hand that can flop decently, I decided to defend. When he shoved the flop I figured he could still be trying to push me off the pot with a wide range, which meant I could have 14 clean outs (with 8 to the nuts).

Yeah I think I agree here, nh. Your stack is small enough to where the money already in the pot has a big effect on your decision. You're calling 9.19 to win 13+. Unless SB has a pair of jacks or better (which is not that likely because they'd be tempted to check to the defender)., it is a good call...

yeah i would def here and for sure calling flop shove.
