Hi, table seemed pretty decent, i did shove a hand , 2 hands previous to this one. It was a standard shove , i was in LP with KJo and was a split pot, got lucky as i got called by KK. Anyhow with this hand here, i was thinking to raise pre but its just akward if someone shoves over the top. So i thought the best course of action would be to gii. Seems standard , perhaps im being result oriented?

thoughts?

forgot to add that we are deep in the tourney, there was like roughly 15 players left , i was ranked 11th.

thanks.

I'd prob r/evaluate and not feel bad the times I have to fold this hand from UTG to a jam. You also have some incentive to try and FT but not a lot at this point just yet.

so basically shove pre is never -EV here right?

shove is ok - just about +EV I would say but r/f prob better imo if the table is not too aggro. seems close - fold is the worst option I think but even that is not terrible so hard to make a big mistake here.

It's not -ev per se but that doesn't mean it's the most +ev decision per se. Which isn't me saying that raising is 100% more ev but I kinda pref it with 18 blinds. You're not that short that you can't r/f steals still so.

Edit to not backpedal my wrong slightly mistaken advice above. But I ran it preflop+ and 9 handed UTG with 18 (It's 10 handed I know) and it has 88 at 0.04 which is basically negligible. So what happens is your range becomes just too strong/polarized for what you stand to win and risk. Cause when you get called you're flipping or crushed as a factor. Where as QTs is listed higher than 88 in the chart.

^ 7 handed tho - which makes the shove much more appealing

I don't know how I missed that even after stating with 15 left lol. Says 88 is 0.42 which is fine to jam if you're worried about getting raised off your equity. I think you can still r/c vs correct villains at higher stakes or someone with corresponding stats.
