Question Pocket pair faces scary board.

Here are 2 hands from my recent history. In both scenarios I c-bet on the flop and V called. I haven't bet on turn because it could easily face check-raise, but at the same time it means that I allow V to see the river for free and probably complete flush. Does anyone have suggestions for such scenarios? How to handle such a board on turn/river?

Re: Pocket pair faces scary board.

Generally the more connected the board the more likely you can make your opponent believe you have something and can push him off hands, the less coordinated the more bullets you'll have to fire to take it down and a lot of times thinking players will call your bluff if there isn't much going on the board. First hand is fine checking down, but the second hand I would barrel again, you can rep the A or K and fold out weak/inferior pairs or draws.
