Just started playing again, very much a beginner. My thinking was that if he had J9, he would have checked the flop against 4 other players to give players some rope. Wondering if I completely misplayed the overpair against such a draw-y board.

This is defenetly a taff spot and we need to be careful this deep with 4 callers. I would nevertheless bet here because we still beat enough hands we can get value from and also need protection since some cards are just bad for us. I would just bet 30% here to get the trash out. And then evaluate new on later streets. If we got raised we are in a difficult spot. We even block bluffs like KJ. I would decide given what opened we are facing. Against a very tight player we could start folding but normally i would call and then x - evaluate turn.
