Greetings everyone,
I asked a question similar to this in the “Books and Publications” forum with very limited replies, and most of the ones I did get didn’t help much. Asking MTT players specifically is probably the way to go.

I’m still very much a beginner to MTT’s and want to become very good at them, just need steered in the right direction. A friend of mine gave up playing poker and gave me his books, some cash and some tournament. The tournament books are the original Harrington series and his most recent book, Harrington on Modern Tournament Poker.

Makes sense to start with the older books or just go to the most recent? Remember, I’m still rather inexperienced to MTT’s.

Thanks for any advice you can give me!

id say go for the newer books, poker evolves and as a result old material can become redundent, for example the original Harrington books were written when everyone used to 3x pre, so all assumptions throughout are made with this in mind.. just watch heaps of poker and read and play alot and post on here too

Thanks wowsooooted for the reply, it’s much appreciated. So his most recent book is still a good foundational book for my game? I know his older series were a great “foundation” but as you stated, they’re old.
