I call because your cut off so it possibly looks like you are trying to steal the blinds and he probably puts you on two above average cards and he could be making that raise with AQ through A8 so you could have a good possibility that you have him crushed in that position or you get it in with a hand were you are ahead in the coin flip

As played it should be a breakeven call, not an easy one in vaccum as the 13 hands doesn't say much, but anyways you need 43% equity to call and if you give him a range of overpairs, A5, broadways combos with clubs,AK-ATetc etc...It might be close but I think in game I would wait for a better spot.

Also 3betting pre to get more info would be better but I guess flatting is not terrible either

That was my ideia, I think I'm ahead of Vil's range here almost allways, just not sure if it's better to turn my hand into a bluff catcher or rep something like a missed draw and lead for thin value in the river, but I would think he has some JT, JQ in his range that he should stab so maybe ch/c is best.

so what are you doing when he barrels off? without a really specific read i have a hard time thinking its great. the sole fact that he DIDNT barrel off means he probably isnt as aggro/spewy as you think, and more just bad.

Wouldn't a K be more likely to click it back and shove turns? Seems like so many weaker hands fold to the check/shove that might continue otherwise. Seems like he'd lose value.

Or at least flat the BB.

        I might call.

        Rough stack sizes from memory.

£11 BH on SKY, Hero has been taking lots of stabs at pots and picking them up, Vil had been playing fairly tight last few orbits.

        Blinds 50/100

        Hero BTN T8000
        UTG T7500
        SB T2000
        BB T2000

        Hero BTN AK

UTG raises to 400, hero calls 400, SB folds, BB folds,

I decide to flat, Vil hasn't 4x pre before so I think flatting in pos is fine, might get tricky if either of the blinds shove I guess.

        Flop 38T

        UTG checks, hero checks

I don't wanna bet here and get raised, don't want to get it in yet

        Turn 7

        UTG checks, hero checks

after Vil has raised pre then checked twice I put him on some A highs overpairs with clubs, overpair with no clubs or maybe 99 77 66 type hands

he would likely bet all of his complete bluffs by now so seems to be trapping or getting to cheap showdown

        River K

UTG bets 712, hero raises to 1900, UTG reraises to 6000, hero?

Gulp! I'm raising river here with 2nd Nuts hoping to get paid by any club but I open myself up to getting raised, horrid spot, help me!

Would you guys of bet earlier in the hand? was this raise on the river terrible?
