1. For me is easy fold, cause I dont want to waste 13 BB on 44 (or more if BTN shove)

2. I will 3Bet here, cause this is obvious blind steal

3. Just call in my opinion, also blind steal but I will not 3bet QJ

4. Fold, 3bet and 4bet after you indicates that probably you are behind one of them

*Tonight I started tournament with AK and than AA, and lost both hands...With AA vilian get a set, and with AK two pair. And how not to be on tilt

Agree with all the assessments above.

1) unfortunately I guess you have to fold w/ the button behind but it's close, 4betting to iso could be marginally good but that's pretty high variance, seems fine to just fold and lose the 2bb. If button hadn't called it would have been an easy call vs the BB's shove though

2) 3bet/gii if he 4bets

3) any play seems fine though I like a 3bet best
If you just flat you have to be 100% willing to gii if you flop anything good otherwise you don't have the price to play it speculatively, and I think w/ his 15bb stack you can be comfy putting all the money in if you flop a pair

4) fold

1) close. If I have reads on bu. Is he spewy or good or... This could be shove. Readless I mostly fold, but shove can't be too bad.

2) 3b/gii

3) 3b call. Flat is ok too.

4) fold

With your stack shoving makes way more sense than just calling since most bluffs still have lots of equity against you so you wanna protect that... and I can't see just folding top pair in a BvB limped pot without some sick read

so shoving seems like the only reasonable play

Feels like a pretty standard fold to me. I think J9s might be more interesting.

But when you are called your likely 40% to win or worse.

The question is how light does he call? Is he going to call off with roughly the same range (maybe even half) of what he is opening with?

Like the other poster said that J9 is a ship here. I like to have "playability" - that is connectedness. All that's going on here is the high card Jack and the flush possibilities. If I'm gii for 12bb I like some straight backdoor possibilities as well.

welcome to the forums btw.

Yeah that makes sense. Still getting a feel for these things and I think I felt more pressure than there was to make a move but I had a whole orbit to wait for a better spot. At the time it didn't occur to me that they'd call light which obviously makes the shove pretty bad. Thanks.

not a line check but just making a post. I'm playing in this "illegal" deep stack game on Saturday which I've just seen the structure and it's the most bizarre thing I've come across.

Starting stack is 100,000
blinds start at 200/400 for 60 mins
then double accordingly 30 minutes thereafter

I've never seen anything like it lol

Seems like a fairly legit structure actually. Start with 250 bigs, then double every 30. Its the same as 20/40 (or almost the same as 25/50) on a 10K stack. Which is super standard.

Spoiler:
But now when you win you have 10 million chips, not 1 million chips. And that's 10x more!

Reads:

CO shoved around 15 BB late position with A6o, and I believe another marginal hand in a similar spot. Seems slightly on the fishy side. Stats: VP-26, PR-21, 0-3B
SB is 23-VP, 14-PR, 3B-7. Have seen him do some LAG-ish things, but seems to be somewhat solid.

Personally, I'm probably only calling AA-KK here, and I think the ICM would agree. However, one friend said he would call AA-99 + AK, and the other AA-JJ.

Thoughts?

Thank you for your time.
