          tooo light??

am I shoving too light here with 16bbs no ante on button?

Does anyone open instead of shipping? If the blinds are regs I would expect like half the time I open they will ship pretty wide on me given the stack differential.

suppose that could be an argument for raising, calling off for value? But that would be pretty thin and high variance right vs chipping up and stealing the blinds without flipping. Of course they could call your shove lighter as well, but it can't be as liberal as you will get 3-bet.

How wide do you start shoving here?

you dont even have 20bbs, your edge is no where what you think it is. ive said it before and i'll say it now; edges are made by realizing spots; not by passing on them. if its what i think it is; btn vs bb, this is such a call. tt/at+ is waaaay too tight unless btn is the nit of the century.

I hate those days when the classic fish have too much luck ... The blinds were 800/1600, the fish goes all in with 20000 (J8) and hit straight ... After 10 min lose chips and went to 4500 ... I'm all in in the late position with AK, he gets a full house with Q9 and I top pair ... After that hand, some villain shove with KK, our friend shove with 88 and gets quads...Immediately after that hand I shove with QQ, and he shove AA and gets set...Too sick

no, wp, good disciplined fold, without a villain-specific read you should assume he has a small flush

Yeah, you are right...but I had bad beat 2 hands ago when I was 91% favorite on flop, so I choose a little safer option to just call 855$ and if come good flop for me to go all in like I did...Thanks

In a way shoving is "safer" in that it prevents SB from realizing his equity as even a random hand has 35.6% equity vs your AQ. When you let him see the flop by not shoving you're passing up an opportunity where you could have gotten it in pre when you know you're ahead vs SB, whereas on tons of flops you won't be so sure
