77+, ATs+, AQo+, QJs i guess maybe AJs and KQs

Last edited by JellyDonQuitar; 08-22-2013 at 09:37 AM. Reason: i could b way too tight, we r last to act so, calling wider is better

qjs seems really ambitious. 66 prob in there, rest seems ok.

i want to bet if deeper b/c lots of bd stuff but guess thats why you want to check

Awakening I think I snap my 2nd suggested range after having closer look.
And even looser

Ridiculous price and 8bb eff from bb - my 1st range is obv too tight.

There's no magic formula to being a winning player - if you just have a single plan A you become easy to play against. Good players can play tight or loose as the situation demands it.

Well I started off as a limit cash player so I got the basics from there. I don't know what a tournament player does to learn the basics. If this were limit I would tell you to read "small stakes holdem" by ed Miller but idk if there's a tournament Bible book like there is in lhe. I read Jonathon little's book. That was good. The problem with tourneys and newbies is you can't just nit it up like you can in a cash game because the changing dynamics of short stacks and the stages of the tournament. I think being new and learning how to play tournaments is tough. Im grateful I came up in lhe. If you can play on stars I would say play the micro 45/90/180 man sng and get a feel for how those work then transition into mtt. You could play like 1r - 3-5 to mtt and post and read a ton here and in the sng forums.
