Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

I'm in big blind with TT and 25bb.
BTN(20bb) min opens, SB shoves 25bb.
Easy call? I have no idea what I'm doing in NL.
I thought I was flipping or dead but my friend says this is an easy call.

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I have a question about min-betting in SSMTTs. I raise preflop in late position, UTG limper calls, everybody else folds. On the flop he donk bets the minimum into me, I raise 55% of the pot, he calls. On the turn he donk bets the minimum again. This time I raise 73% and he calls again! Wtf.

This just happened on Party and it's not the 1st time. I'm seeing this a lot lately whereas I don't recall seeing this before. People min-betting and calling substantial raises. Is this a bot? Is this a fish? Is this a Bot-Fish?

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

I wouldn't really connect it to botting.

It's weird that a human would play that way and it's weird that a human would program a computer to play that way.

When OOP some people advocate a small "range charge" bet with your whole range any time e.g. the turn favours you. OOP you can sometimes make small bets - effectively a check is a bet of zero so this is just a bigger version of the check.

In position it is pretty much never correct to bet really small rather than check as you are needlessly reopening the action for that round.

Minbetting seems to small to be a range charge though.

Is anyone still putting in decent/good volume at the 4.50 180 man's? If so, what is your roi / how much sweet pokermoneys are you winning?

Bounty builder, early stage. MP (who covers me) opens 2x, it folds to the SB who shoves 24BB (which I cover). I'm the BB with A9s. I reshoved. Is it the correct play?

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

9 handed small stakes MTT

Early stages..avg stack 40bb

Villain (MP) shoves 15bb
Hero (co) AQ0 has 48bb

with three players behind who are covering us its still a shove right?
or we can call and probably fold to a shove from behind??

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

Hey guys, slowly getting into MTTs. Close to 100k hands, winning around 14evbb/100, but down around 200 buyins. Microstakes up to 5.5, sats included in that graph i think. Should i be worried? It's 1250 tournaments, down 200bi~ and i feel i can't win a flip to save my life.

Thanks in advance

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

Can someone help me figure out HRC? Can it not do basic stuff that icmizer can?

I have a hand where someone opened, I shoved he called, it makes me set his opening range, my shoving range and the calculates what he should call. but I want to know what I should shove over his open?

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

Then leave your range unlocked and then there is an option on one of the menus at the top for "run nash".

HRC is great.

bb/100 looks good. Can check for diff stacksizes if you can find some leaks, although sample will be smallish. Losing 200bi in 1250 mtts is very standard.
