How about introducing a BIG 180 and a BIG 45

- $60+ buyin
- only run on sundays (say for 24 hours after the pacific rim tournament starts)
- in main lobby
- is red
- can run feeder tournamant mttsng that pays must play tickets (for itm) and cash

I'd love to have possibility to play 5s or sth like that. The gap between 2,5 and 8 is to big
thanks

not sure if mentioned somewhere here but as a former 4/180 player i'd like to have higher buy-ins available of this format to fill up tables quicker in my MTT sessions.

~11/22/35/whatever.

alternative suggestion

cut 8s, replace with 5s, as well as 8 rebuys. that makes abi scale 2.5 - 5 - 10 - 15 - 24 - 35 instead of 2.5 - 8 - 10 - 15 - 35

Also, seperate leaderboard for MTTSNGs, cause 180s can't compete for MTT leaderboard
barack obama read my mind

Got to think of the big picture, if things carry on the way they are the types of people you want in the game will play something else and the games will run less. 24 tables and a 3 second decrease in the time bank will be good for the game as a whole

lose the 90 and 180 mans and have a 125 man instead, keep the 18 man payout structure . combines the 2 player pools and will finish up in about 70 mins. Because of the big player pool you will be able to run a extra buy in and have a stepping stone for the lower ranks with a lesser bankroll. $2.50 / $5.50 /$10 / $20. instead of a $3.50r 180 man have a $3.50 90man instead. pin it all to the main lobby and thank me later

yeah maybe 30, think pokerstars might have come up with a 24 table cap in the cash game for some reason. Someone else made a good suggestion about if you can handle more tables then emailing stars and request to have the cap released might work too but you will be monitored to see if you are timing out and running deep into the time bank for every decision. We have to remember some people play this game as a pass time when the wife and kids are at their grannys or they have a few hours to spare during the week. these games are perfect for this type of player who doesnt have 5+ hours to spare playing a tournament. You want this dead money in the tournament.

All it seems it will do is drastically reduce rake which sort of seems counter productive

Have you ever played live? People think a long time about trivial decisions. Fish don't care

When i lived in a small town in ireland the trains would run every 2 hours. when i lived in melbourne the trains would run every 10 mins yet i was kicking myself if i missed one by 30 seconds, human nature i guess. live and online is like country town vs big city to me

+1 to a 180 leaderboard this would be awesome!

also pleaseeeee add a higher buyin 180 like $50/$60, I think this would attract both, recreational players and grinders because the payouts will be so nice

Game liquidity makes a ton of sense and why sudden and small changes shouldn't be made. As "cool" or "awesome" it maybe to add another level 180, could have a monster negative effect to the regulars that play them. The risk reward doesn't seem legit imo.

As far as the leader-board is concerned, merging 45's and/or 180s into a BOP would be pretty sweet. Even if it meant higher rake per game I would be all for this where rake would be redistributed via BOP. Think because of the high amounts of volume people put in these anything else besides a BOP style leader-board would be useless.

We are considering various options for changes to leaderboards for Sit & Gos. Some of those potential options include a separate leaderboard for 45-180s, re-structuring Battle of the Planets or perhaps even a completely new approach to promoting Sit & Gos.

As has been noted in the thread, a survey seeking feedback on leaderboards and Battle of the Planets has been sent out to a representative group of players. If feedback from the survey indicates that Battle of the Planets isn’t a major factor for players when deciding what to play, we would consider changing to a simpler, cut-down version and diverting funds to other SNG promotions instead.

If anyone has any promotional ideas for Sit & Gos, by all means suggest them in this thread. Bear in mind that one of the major reasons for any promotion is to encourage new players to play Sit & Gos, although they have to make business sense as well. So while “Free money for all SNG players!” would no doubt boost the player pool, we probably wouldn’t go for that

Promotions should aim to attract new players rather than just moving a player from one game to another. Also consider the possibility of promotional ideas that might not benefit you immediately, but would indirectly benefit you in the longer term by boosting the player pool and making games more attractive.

There are 4 buy-ins for turbos at 180 man, but only one buy-in for regular 180 man.

But i guess poker stars has a good understanding of their customers and if there were a demand for lower 180regular buy-ins they already would exist
Im not so sure, its seem those who screem 'turbo' all the time are the loudest. But are they the majority, too?
