Honestly i very nearly folded the flop, i felt like the tiny 3 bet gave me such a strong read of strength, and i felt AK probably would have checked/ 3 bet more. River bet i THink, was to get value from 10x and 88-66, butttt looking back i rEAlly dont like the bet cos i think i should have bet more as a bluff or checked to showdown. Also considered shoving pre and otf but as i said, I thought my read was sOO strong. Not a fan of jamming pre either as 28Bbs was a middling stack. Can people tell me where i went wrong?
Thanks

Hi LiOnheart,
with 28BB here this is a clear 4 bet shove for me.
JJ here is a very strong Hand. If you want to win you have to build a stack and therefore take some risks. Since you both are more in late position his 3bet range will be looser. By just calling you often get in dicy spots when the flop brings an overcard. As played i would jam the Flop. He has Suited tx and flushdraws witch call you. As played i like the bet on the River. I dont think that he stop betting Aces often or flushes ott. And with betting smal you can block the pot and losing the minimum if he beats you.

Hi bro, i understand this in theory and if it was any reasonable sized 3 bet id snap shove, but I honestly dont know what hes tiny 3 betting with that i beat (exploitative thinking, but I would put him on no less than QQ). and given that hes giving me good odds to hit a set which is REAlly where i would build a stack.
Yeah i felt the same with the river bet, as it happened as i thought, he had QQ and tank called

I know what you mean but i think this may be result oriented thinking, because when we get called he often got it. But i see them 3betting smal with **** a lot too.

I think maybe our experiences differ, cos i am usually able to put people on a stupid strong range when that happens almost always (infact it often turns out to be exactly aces), and i think most pros would agree with that, and if you think about it it does kinda make sense to 3 bet small there, to get calls from everything. But i do take your point.
Thanks

This seems like a trivial 4b jam and the sizing isn't that tiny. The flop is then also a c/r jam given how you played it.

Can i ask why? Check raising sounds like suicide, unless he has a draw? plus some of his T9s's just made 2 pair and QQ+ is crushing me anyhere as is 10 10 and 9 9

You have JJ and less than 30bb. Pretty standard to just get it in preflop

i thought that applied if you had 20 blinds, 30bbs there is still a playable stack ( thought)

It's a moot point since you should jam preflop, but he can bet air too and stuff like KQ as well. I just don't know what you're hoping for to flat. It feels like you're going to overfold it since spots will be tricky. Also you're going to want to c/jam TTT/999/diamonds/QJ type hands so isn't bad to have JJ in there as your only potential overpair (QQ+ should jam since I wanna jam JJ too). Like yeah maybe we're crushed sometimes but there's a lot of money in the pot and they can also 3b ATs on the button too.
