Hello,

Fairly new to poker and trying to learn. Mostly focused on 6 table micro 1 and 2 trying to become a winning player. Almost there most of my sessions are now positive and I want to get one or two solid winning months before I move up.

Anyway I was given the advice to introduce a couple of tournaments each week as these tend to be real soft and hence a way to quickly build up a bankroll to move up stakes quicker.

Yes the players are definitly nuttier, but the variance is insane. I will go all in with a flush or straight and have a guy call me down with middle pair and **** kicker.

I find deepstack seems to be the best as there you have the time to wait for the nuts and make your money there, while with Turbo or Zoom you basically have to win a couple of coin flips in a row.

Basically I got close to the money so many times, I had a solid start so many times, but a mistake here or there coupled with a couple with a few of these lost coin flips have ensured that I have not seen a final table yet.

What is your approach to these tournaments, do you have an article that can recomend when I should shove and when I should call a shove. I am thinking of quitting just because of the varience. I am making decent bankroll improvements with my cash games, but these tournaments keep taking it all away! And they are supposed to be helping my bankroll!
