This is a hand from Hot 10€, right after the money bubble so all player are ITM now. I raise 99 a player with 8bb's basically shoves and then there's an Iso shove from a player that had just moved in and I had no read.

Should I call here 18bb's for my tournament life?

Tough spot. Kinda hate both calling and folding but being just inside the money I probably gii. It would put us in a great position to make a deep run if we take it down but not liking our chances that well either.

I think it depends. if we want to play in $Ev mode, then it's most likely fold. if we want to take a shot in cEV mode, that could be call.

A tight situation indeed. I would caution towards the folding though. Assuming his range be 88+, A8s+, Q10s/o+. Considering this range either you are behind or in a coin flip situation most of the times(except 88). Even after adding A7S/O+ you will still be in coin flip situation. Unless you have reasons to believe he is doing this with worse cards than that, I will look for better spots with that reasonable stack size.
