Hope my thread will find you well and that you are all getting fine all around with that COVID sh.....

I am a general recreational player for couple of years now and never took time to really get into range details / studies. I am now looking at changing that and will need some of your expertise to help me in my first step defining ranges a way to finetune my understanding .
Actual scenario is the following: full ring x9, deep stack 100BB, defined flat call and 3Bet range facing Vilain from UTG, MP, CO with given opening range:
UTG - 12.5%
MP - 20.4%
CO - 32.1%
Does following is a correct approach :
- from up to down Range Vilain/my 3bet range / My flat call range ?
- From left to right UTG > MP > CO.
Is that not to much within range of vilain who i consider to be kind fo a maniac?

I am planning to look at some similar studies for later stage in MTT (50bb deep for example where I may become a bit more tighter I guess - correct?) but would like to be sure ideas in that ranges do make sense or not... Any critics, suggestions, explanations are more than welcomes

I would never fold PPs to a maniac opening 100BB deep, even the small ones.
Too easy to play fit or fold, and print money when you flop a set.

Interested in what more experienced players say though

Thank you for your time and reply.
I do think you are totally right since PPs are in my opening range for sure and that against Maniac that can have major EV+ when set enters...
Out of it I did optimized the first ranges and tighten it a bit to increase possibilities having Vilain with more weak hands the times I do hit grate.
3Bet range also optimized to be more logic fct of opponent position.

How does it looks like and is that some good start to begin with?
