What were you trying to accomplish with your flop bet? Is it for semi-protection or value? It's a board texture that hits you pretty hard considering how dry the board is so when villain calls here very likely he has an Ace. Either way I'm not a big fan of this bet but you could still get value from hands like 45, 55-99, and maybe QK suited for backdoors although more likely to have an Ax of some sorts. Btw I'd size it a bit smaller too, like 2000-2300 range.

Turn is where it's really a disaster. For that sizing all you're doing is getting a better hand to call. Can barely think of a hand you're beating that would call this sizing besides QK spades and 45 spades, both very thin calls. With the low amount of combos that you beat that would call this board I'd check this almost 100%. If you have a read the villain is a serious calling station then a small bet of 30-50% makes more sense to induce looser calls, although im not in love with it.

At least by the river you decided to check .

Overall, I'm really not sure what your thought process was. I can't tell if you're value betting, bluffing, or going for protection on any street. If it's a bluff by the turn then you're bluffing way too much in this spot. Flop could be fine but again not a fan of the bet or the sizing as much as checking. Last thing to think about, if you put yourself in villain's spot, would you fold an Ace on this board on the turn? I know I wouldn't since your value range is very narrow. Can't win every hand my friend, gl in the future.

I've mentioned this in other threads and it seems to be a common theme. The two questions you need to ask before betting:

1) Will they fold a better hand?
2) Will they call a worse hand?

If the answer to both of those questions is no, then it's generally not a bet.

So in this spot, they might fold JJ, but that makes up such a small part of their range, I think it would be a mistake to target that hand by betting. As a whole, they're not folding better.

In this spot, they're also likely not calling with worse. Will they call two streets with 99? Given that an ace high board is really good for you, probably not. Maybe... but likely not.

So I think one of these streets should likely be a check.
